Dockside Cafe

Parking was free. Plenty of seating. Dog friendly. Amazing view. Food was good. You need to level your expectations when you see burgers, hot dog, nachos and fries on the menu. But it tasted fine. Served a nice variety of alcohol. Would definitely recommend. There's a grass field and small hill nearby the kids can run or adults and relax.

Dockside cafe is a quaint outdoor restaurant that features beautiful views of Cedar Point and Sandusky Bay. Dockside had ample seating during my visit but as Friday moved closer to 6pm, the table began to fill, but local acoustic entertainment arrived with the slightly heavier crowd as well. The food at Dockside is better than average bar food, although a little pricey ($60 for 2 adults and three kids...no kids menu is available). I highly recommend the Dockside Burger. Two patties nicely griddled with cheese then nestled between both end of a brioche bun. The side of fries had a unique seasoning that paired very nicely. Dockside also serves alcohol and those prices were very reasonable and they don't skimp on the alcohol. I really enjoyed my visit to Dockside Cafe but will return for a date night without the kids.
