Applebee's

Applebee's is a fun place to go. Dark room atmosphere with a central bar and a huge variety of drink to go with their Americanized multi national cuisine. Food isn't terrible and literally every item on the menu has a calorie count on them for people watching their intake. Ignore them if you're out for fun though. TV's everywhere that aren't blasting but available for people who want to watch the game while drinking or dining. Little scenes to order from or to play games on for the kids if you wanted a date but couldn't get that sitter. I wouldn't call this place wholesome or healthy specifically, although there are some menu choices that are healthy, but it's a restaurant that features a central bar. -1 star for staff attentiveness. Not a horrible problem but mildly annoying when you need water or extra napkins.

We had the 2 for $27 meals- baby back ribs & Bourbon chicken and shrimp. Came with huge side salads and our entrees were delivered to our table hot and delicious. The grilled chicken breast was cooked to perfection, thoroughly cooked and juicy, moist, flavorful, NOT an easy thing to do. Our server Tomas did a great job!

I was craving aa small steak and recalled that there was an Applebees nearby and they had a steak on their menu. So I swung over and ordered the small steak and shrimp parmesan. Was an adequate tasting sirloin, not a great cut to begin with but it did solve my craving. Was a bit disappointed that the sides were did not include a baked potato option, however the garlic. mashed potatoes stood in place adequately aa well. Service was good the cook tried with what was on menu, so I see old rate it a C.

Had a fun time at Happy Hour with Drew as our bartender. We arrived during their shift change, but he took over and provided excellent service!!! Drew communicated well re: last call and provided drink suggestions. If I'm in the area, I'll look forward to returning. The host at the door was pleasant also. ( sorry I didn't get his name 😬) The managers were responsive to staff needs and seemed to run a very efficient shift, that most notably included teamwork. Great job, and thanks for a positive experience!!! 🍹🍺
