I love this restaurant in San Carlos. The food is consistently outstanding. The samosas have a delicate crust and the inner contents so smooth and savory. The tea leaf salad can’t be beat, and the garlic noodles...awesome! Can’t wait to return!

Food was excellent and lovely service. My only "con" observation is there was no atmosphere and quite bland decor. Otherwise food was good, fairly priced and nice presentation.

Chile Basil Lamb was delicious, as was the Burmese Basmati Rice. The Burmese Pad Thai was good but nothing special. A great place to dine before the symphony or opera. The prices were on the high end.

Every single person that works here is Filipino, it would be difficult for most people to detect the illusion when Filipinos and Burmese look alike. Food wise, every dish recipe is soysauce, sugar, basil and garlic. Basil Chicken, Basil, eggplant, Basil Beef, Basil pork, Basil Vegetarian, Basil Basil, Basil water, lol. I jokingly commented on that issue and the owner claimed the cook is Burmese and ask me whether I want to meet them. Once I said yes, she spoke to him in Tagalog. What sorcery is this

Lunch buffet vs sit down dinner is pretty different. I don't have issue with the food, but was sad to see the buffet quick pick was only for lunch. Waited longers than wanted for take out, had I realized the different set up and would have made more time for myself. BUT those samosas are DELICIOUS and I liked the food over all!

Ordered delivery which arrived in a timely manner, hot & correct. DEELISHUS! Flavorful & Spicy. Had the spicy dumplings which coupled with the cooling cucumber salad. Definitely ordering again.

Pricey but good food with a trendy vibe, full bar, and a wine list on an iPad. Gluten-free menu available. Waitstaff is knowledgeable about gluten and cross-contamination risks.

Tea leaf salad was really good. My husband liked his curry dish too. A little pricey for the amount of food you get though.

Ordered take out... The Nan Gyi Dok was awesome. Thick rice noodles, rich creamy curry, red onions and more. I'd come back for that dish again.

Fabulous Burmese food. The tea leaf salad alone is worth coming to try. Everything was delicious. Other favorites were the Garlic Noodles and the eggplant. Great wine list. The dining room is elegant without being pretentious. Showed up on Sunday and had no issues seating a party of six. I wish parking was like that.

Great food, warm welcome. Last night was a nice surprise, the samosa was perfect, the tealeaf salad was a good size to share and very tasty, especially with the cabbage. Garlic noodles and fried banana with mango ice cream for dessert. And last but not least, the waitress was very attentive and pleasant. A great evening.

A hidden gem on Polk Street. There is never a wait because it's significantly more upscale than its neighborhood. The rainbow salad and samosa soup are on par with the best of the city. Service is attentive, and we haven't ordered a bad dish from the menu yet. Def recommend the coconut rice with whatever else you get.
