The Daily

I’ll start by saying I loved The Daily and the old setup. It was a great place to have a few cups of coffee and work for a few hours. The new layout leaves a lot to desire. The shop is now split with a service section that doesn’t fit the best work environment. I’d love for them to return to how it was, but I understand times change. Stop in and get a cup of coffee they still do a great job.

This place is the best! It is beautifully decorated. The vibe is calm and light–awesome music selection at just the right volume to work and/or enjoy a chat with a friend. The team is kind, and the coffee is always wonderful and pro. Yesterday, I had the most amazing Black Walnut Nut Lattee, made by Eva. She is magical; all the baristas are very skilled. Oh! And, the food delicious. I like the breakfast sandwich, which reminds me of grabbing an egg and cheese at a NYC bodega.

Neat local cafe. Welcoming environment, and the baristas were doing a great job (even at the early hour I was there, good on them because I was exhausted). They have a variety of warm drinks that seem good. My sister really enjoyed her Latte and we had some of their pastries. They have a good display for their delicious pastries, and even a refrigerated section for some cold juices (and other stuff. I was exhausted and lazer focused on the watermelon juice lol). The breakfast burrito I had was good as well. The atmosphere was relaxing and I felt comfortable sitting and enjoying my food. Highly recommend this cafe

The daily is the best coffee spot in Salt Lake City and frankly some of the best coffee I have ever had. The employees are masters at their craft and put real care into each cup of coffee. They are all amazing especially Esmee who is usually there when I come in before work. You can tell she knows what she is doing and cares to have a personal connection with people rather than a fake customer service smile that is so tiring these days. All the employees are amazing and I feel bad for them when I see the upstairs office people treat them rudely (which seems to happen too often). I recommend everyone try the daily at least once I promise it’s a magical experience and please remember to be nice to your hard working baristas!

The service here is fantastic. The coffees are handmade, with house-made sauces for the flavored coffees. So far, I've only had iced coffees here, and therein may lie the reason for falling short of five stars. The aforementioned house-made sauces haven't seemed to blend well into the iced coffees for me, and the result is a sort of overripe flavor to the coffee. Not entirely unpleasant, per se, but it definitely left me blinking. So far, I tried the seasonal pumpkin coffee and your standard menu option of a Mocha. I'll be back to try more flavors, and will definitely be swinging for a hot drink soon. I'll update the review when I do!

I hope this place opens back up soon!! This is an old photo...but hope to visit this place again soon. We stopped in here randomly to get out of the rain. It was super tidy with a very welcoming staff. Food was delicious, especially the bacon! Their coffee reminded me of local coffee shops in Seattle...top tier. Definitely recommend checking this place out once it opens!!
