Hendrix Barbeque

Sign above counter says serving best breakfast in Salisbury. Ordered two eggs, hash browns and a biscuit which covered the whole platter they were served on. Meal was served freshly cooked, hot and the sign did not lie. Best breakfast I have ate in a long time that I didn't cook myself. Waitress was cheerful, courteous, friendly checked on us frequently. I now know where to eat breakfast at when anywhere in the area. Been along time since I had portions this large and this inexpensive.

I have been eating at Hendrix Barbecue for year's and I normally love eating there UNTIL today... For one they came around to us ONCE for refills and that was before we got our food... They couldn't read our ticket either cause on the ticket said RS on my hamburger (which means red slaw) well it was white slaw then hubby had to get someone's attention so they could take it back and fix it... Well when they brought it back out it was LOADED down with red slaw that's pretty much all I could taste... The lady that brought it back out told me to check if it was right this time but before I could open the wrapper she was gone... I think that she knew what they did that's why she ran away... I would understand if they was super busy BUT they wasn't!!! Remind you that I never got a refill on my drink... Our waitress was to busy talking to her buddies... I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! THAT PLACE IS GOING DOWN HILL QUICK!!! I drive from Mocksville to eat there.... Won't make that mistake again!!!

If you are going to have Bar-B-Que in your name, then by all means serve Bar-B-Que. I ordered the half chicken plate and the pulled pork plate. Both were oven baked and drizzled with a little watered down Sweet Baby Rays. Both were dry and very disappointing. I was visiting from Georgia and was craving some good NC style Barbecue. What a waste. This place didn’t hit on Eastern or Lexington style, of which either would have been satisfying. Portions were hefty but the white slaw could definitely use some love. This place has all the potential of being a real gem for the area but if they continue to sell oven baked meats as barbecue they should call themselves a diner.

Really good teamwork, and waitressing here going on. They have had to work with very little staff at times but remain positive. The breakfast time hours are very busy. But service is always very efficient! They even have good lunch, and dinner type of offerings daily. Each day there is something special on the board. Operates very much on my diners, and dives three C's that make a restaurant great! Great customer service, cleanliness, and awesome cost-effectiveness. This is where the locals eat! May God be with you always.
