Gem of a place to have really good South Indian food. Chicken Briyani is my all time favourite and their chicken 65 was outstanding. Also tried the pepper chicken boneless. Make sure to customise your briyani with Chicken Drumstick or normal chicken pieces. It’s a thing here, you can choose what kind of piece you’d like in your briyani. I’ve tried the in-house service -they always serve food on banana leaf which elevates the taste. Take away packing is very traditional, a layer of packaging paper and banana leaf to give you the exact taste and portion was standard. My visits to Salem are never complete without a visit here.

Selvi Mess is a popular non-vegetarian hotel for more than four decades. This is the mother place where they started hotel. It is just walkable distance from the Salem Town Railway Station. Quality conscious people.
There are several branches in and around the City, offer same quality.

The taste of Home made. Take away is flexible. Moderate price. Located near town railway station. No car parking, seats were available when visited has family AC dining hall. Famous for take away and home style non vegetarian foods.
