* I think this restaurant is now closed :( Great food. Very fast service and great prices. We had the tofu pho, hot and spicy chicken, and wontons.

The food here was fine, it tasted alright but it wasn't anything special. If you want some quick food I'd recommend the sesame chicken, but would not recommend the chicken chow mein or the egg drop soup (really sweet for some reason?). Their smoothies are excellent though.
Restaurant is cozy, and there was an officer hanging out having some food so it felt pretty safe (he seemed to be on a break, having a nice chat with the head lady).

Great Bhan Mi's and Pho. I've eaten here many times, and can't say nice enough things about this restaurant. It's in a bit of a bad part of town, but the food definitely makes up for the location. Their pricing is outstanding, and their food is amazing. In the years that I've been getting food from this restaurant, I've yet to have a bad meal. I highly recommend Saigon Express for Asian cuisine in the St. Paul area.

As far as authentic and fresh Vietnamese food goes, it was OK. What was crazy was the price: 2 pho, 2 teas, and fried rice for $52! (Not inclusive of tip). The receipt was not itemized - I should have been more careful - learned my lesson. Lunch broke the bank.

Today was the first time we have tried this establishment and I must say that we were impressed! For starters, we had the egg rolls and they were so amazing, as well as the sauce that accompanied them. For the main course, Pho was served. The pho was loaded with delicious meat and tasted so heavenly, especially on rainy day like today. On top of the excellent food was the excellent service. Ha was our servers name and she was superb and so friendly, best service we have received in a long time! Highly recommend to have any meal here!

I always get the pho, it is just the right size for me. It is a dish that takes me back. The people are super nice. You do have to be very clear on what you order, and make sure to double check on it. Portions are great for the price.

Love this place! I have eaten Vietnamese food all over the twin cities and always come back to Saigon Express. They're bahn mi is my favorite and I spent a lot of time eating them during my first pregnancy. The service is nice end everything I have eaten here has been really good. The other bonus is they deliver which makes it really convienant to order at work!

I love their dishes, especially the phos. But there are some things that I dislike. Even when you've just sat down and it hasn't been 10 minutes, the waiter starts taking your order. I hate being rushed especially when I didn't even get a chance to look at the menu.
Sometimes if rarely, you get a refill of water. It's just the little things that bugs me. But overall it's a pretty good place to grab a bite.
