We had a very friendly welcome in this traditional pub. Our lunch was good and the price as expected, there was a good range of food and the pub is dog friendly too.

After a long walk around the nature reserve we treated ourselves to a delicious roast dinner. The lamb shank was perfect and fell off the bone. Generous portions and really enjoyed the cauliflower cheese and the apple crumble. Great real ale selection, old diary and TEA. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Everything a pub should be!

Having driven past this place on numerous occasions we decided to stop off and try some lunch. We now wish we had stopped off sooner. The fish and chips are beautiful. Will definately be stopping off again.

Staying at rye harbour caravan park, looked on google for reviews of here and the other local pub for a sunday roast and choose the inkerman, we have not been disappointed. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING roast, my son had the tower chicken burger and was not disappointed either. Staff and punters are really friendly, would 100% recommend 👍

Popped in here on a afternoon trip to rye and decided to stay for some food. 3 of us each had different burgers and the other had the homemade chicken Kiev. All of which were wonderfully fresh and came out lovely and hot. We sat in the garden which was lovely,secluded, peaceful and a real sun trap. What a lovely place for a chilled afternoon.

Friendly bar with a decent range of real ales on tap so initially quite excited however a little disappointed that a bowl of uninspiring looking chips took 45 minutes to arrive whilst others in the same order received larger meals much sooner (but they still did not arrive all together). Beer 5*, Food 2* - dog friendly.
