It was a super good place to eat. The food was great. The people there were super caring and kind. I enjoyed the Fried Pickles, Rocky Mountain Oysters, and Sausage/ Pepperoni Pizza.

Worth the trip to Rush! The food is delicious and the service very friendly. The chef came out and chatted us up, very friendly and a master of his craft. He also ran some piping hot pizzas over to the local food pantry. Holly was a great server. Overall, very impressed and I highly recommend😉
Update- the food continues to impress. Ask the server about the specials, they really highlight the chef's talent! Of note, smoked trout & Ruben sandwich were both excellent and highly recommended

We are from Kansas City, Missouri. On our way home, we noticed this place. After looking at their menu, we were sold. We stopped in and it was the BEST. The conversation and laughter was great, the service was super friendly, and the food AMAZING. I highly recommend stopping in. The Reuben was TERRIFIC!!!

We happened on to this cafe en route to Colorado Springs and couldn't have found a better place to stop. The server was amazing-friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and hot. The owner came out to check on us several times to see if we needed anything and talked with us at length. They served us a sample of his pork chili that was so good we bought a quart to go. A real gem of a diner!

Great place to eat. Stopped here on the way back home from a trip to the mountains. Wonderful food. Best food eaten on the entire trip!!Extremely nice people, too. Hope to stop again sometime!

I’d read great reviews for a bit, finally got here and food was fantastic, staff very friendly. Worth the drive.
I had the sweet and spicy burger. I’d say one of the best I’ve ever had and took home a pint of their green chili after they gave me a sample.
I will definitely be back again.

Grew up in Ellicott and my parents regularly drove us out to the Rush Cafe for dinner and I have many fond memories of the place. It's probably been over a decade since I have been and since I was in town visiting family thought I'd drive out. I was very happy I did! The food was fantastic and so was the service. The green chili is excellent and I took a quart to go. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in town visiting. Thanks for keeping the cafe open!

Fire food great hospitality second burger I had here. The chef told me about his award winner homemade pork green chili 😍🥰. Coldest part i can taste everything the gouda the burger all just PHENOMENAL

Steak dinner. I counted 23 people eating at this small restaurant in the town of Rush about 40 miles due east on Colorado Highway 94. The food was excellent , but you need not be in a hurry. I think I waited close to an hour, but being retired I didn't get upset. One cook for 23 people is a pretty big work load. You could tell these folks are locals, and probably eat here most Saturday evenings. The road is nearly straight as an arrow, so the drive back to Colorado Springs is probably a good road to teach a new driver how to drive. Light traffic, and as I said --very straight. Nothing fancy--in fact I didn't know it was a restaurant until I ask the guy in a small grocery store across the street where Rush Café was located, and he pointed to the place across the street. Wednesday is military discount day.

Can't complain. The food isn't anything special, but its not bad either. Its really the only thing available for about 20 miles any any direction. Service is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Small town restaurant.
