Vin 25

I had the coziest of date nights ❣️ at @vin25bistro. Located 30 mins north of Buckhead in Historic Roswell, Vin 25 is a neighborhood wine bar and bistro serving up new American cuisine. They have an exclusive, international wine selection and a seasonal menu that changes up at least 5 times a year. The heated outdoor patio, circle fire pit, and live music set the mood ☺️☺️ Vin25 was a breath of fresh air and a nice getaway from the city. I highly recommend celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, even for a nice staycation. Party of 6 showed up for a drink, horrible attitude gentlemen at the door asked if we had reservations. His tone was negative and was less then inviting. No seats, can’t come in. 46 yr resident of Roswell, long term canton street supporter. Will never come here again. Owners Check this guys attitude and have him do something else..

I celebrated my 21st birthday here and I, along with everyone else, was less than impressed. The bread board was okay, just a little ridiculous to pay $14 for such a small amount of toppings. I got the Earl of VIN cocktail- not impressed, but no one else wanted to drink it either. The waiter got my mom’s food order wrong, most likely because he did not write anything down (I get it’s a small menu but we were a 10 top). That’s okay though because the dish she almost got (salmon) was very dry. The hanger steak was probably the best choice, although my step-dad got one and he said it was like they set in in the refrigerator and forgot to heat it up before giving it to him. I got the lamb- unlike any lamb I’ve ever had. It wasn’t grilled, it was slow cooked or something. I usually eat anything I get at a restaurant, but I took one bite and was done. Again, no one else wanted to eat the rest either. The server saw that I had not touched my food but took it away from the table and we still had to pay the $32 for it. Now, I would’ve definitely said something to my table if they OBVIOUSLY did not like their food. We had to tell the server it was my birthday since he did not ask what we were celebrating (even with seeing gift bags & we were a large party). I did get a free dessert, and it was decent (the fried bread pudding). Anyways- total fail for my birthday dinner. Wish I picked somewhere else. Food tried too hard to be good for too much money.

Sadly, we experienced some of the worst service here last night. We arrived at 9:25 (on a Friday night) and asked if they were still serving. They said they were not taking entree orders but still serving drinks and appetizers. We only wanted to close our evening out with a glass of wine, so we opted to stay. When we asked about sitting on the patio, the hostess recommended we sit inside since it looked like possible rain. There were 2 other tables occupied and one gentleman at the bar at that time, so it was not busy. The waiter who came to our table was extremely rude, but we ordered anyway, thinking "he'll lighten up since we're just having a beverage". Within 5 minutes of receiving our drinks, the hostess came to our table and said they were going to begin closing because a rain storm was coming. We thought, "that's fine, well just finish our beverage while they're closing down, then we'll be done about the time they are". The waiter came back scowling again within 10 min, stating they needed to get out of there because some of them lived 30 min away, yet, he and the hostess were not doing things to close up, but instead standing at the end of the bar staring at us, obviously taking about us and making us all feel very unwelcome. There was still one more table and the gentleman at the bar, finishing their beverages, so we continued to finish our drinks in a reasonable manner (ie, not gulping). Waiter then came and asked if we would be ordering anything else, we said no, so he brought us our tabs, again, very rudely and stating they all needed to leave because of the storm. They then started sweeping floors around us in a very aggressive manner and continued with the scornful looks. We paid our bill and left, without even so much as a thank you from anyone working there (and this is a one small dining room restaurant, so you can see and hear everything). We were there maybe a total of 30 minutes, but it was difficult to enjoy ourselves with the horrible attitudes of the staff. It's too bad the attitudes of the wait staff have soured us to the point we won't be returning. Hopefully management will see this and work to correct it.

A fantastic wine list and very knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend being specific in what kind of wines you enjoy - they will help get you something perfect. Atmosphere is romantic and gives you a slight feeling of being in a small european town. While the prices are a little high, it's a very nice evening out. I recommend it both as a good date night or spot with friends. They have great outdoor space as well as a cozy inside.

I really love this place! I’ve been here 3 times this month and every time my guests and I had an incredible dining experience. If the weather is great- sit outdoors- it’s very pleasant! Start off with a snack- I have literally tried them all and would suggest the fromage plate as my top pick! The Hanger Steak entree is a house specialty and a dynamite choice and second would be the Salmon. Oh- the Brussels and Cauliflower are a must try for a green option and GF friends have options- try the toast appetizer without bread- hands down delish. Vegan friends can get the yummy ravioli or a salad with Salmon. It’s all amazing and I really like the Aperal Spritz and a great wine selection. This place is a secret find. You won’t be disappointed!!
