Gus' Diner

I give Gus' Diner 4 of 5. Food was good, bathroom and facility clean. You know it's is clean because the tables have dark black tops and food would show up easily. The service was kind and fast. My only thing is portion size was a little small for the cost. Also, in the bathroom were some old 50s Era photos of women. I get the theme of the restaurant but kids may wonder if too young. I had one of the rye sandwiches, cole slaw, and cup of chicken rice soup and cost was approximately $13.50 with just water. I'd go back but price point is at my lunch budget max as I can spend the same amount at olive garden for unlimited soup and salad.

I ordered the chicken melt with cheese & bacon. Served hot & fresh with potato salad & cream of chicken soup with home made croutons. The owner is the nicest man you'll ever meet. The waitresses are awesome & also have support staff to bring water & refill coffee. Excellent food and service. This place is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch only. You have to try if you like fresh ingredients & delicious food.

You're absolutely crazy of you don't stop in for breakfast at Gus' Diner. We read great reviews and were NOT disappointed when we went. I had the pecan banana bread french toast, eggs, bacon and coffee. I can die happy now. This french toast is so decadent I only ate half. Oh, and the staff are just as fantastic! So super friendly, it was a pleasure to dine there. We'll definitely make this a must do on every trip to Chicago from now on.

I used to go here when they opened. At that time I would have given more stars. Place has really gone downhill. The servers aren't friendly unless you're a regular. I was told the wrong soup of the day and got the wrong order. Our waitress only came to our table to take order, give order, and drop the receipt. No refills, no asking how we are doing. I also tried to get their attention to get a Togo box. Never got one. When I paid and we left we didn't even get a goodbye. That's the staff. The inside booths are sinking. I hit the wood when I sat down. They are only being held together with the tape. I was told pick any seat but that was the only one open that DIDN'T have stuff sitting on the table from previous customers. They raised their prices so much it's not even worth going anymore. $43 for two people, with that kind of service - I'll continue to go elsewhere.

I really love Gus’ Diner! Food here was so good, made to perfection, freshly prepared, and very affordable. You will absolutely love their huge menu once you visit. It has so large selection, so big variety to choose from, and they also have special menu. This place is worth a try! You will never regret giving this place a visit! Especially if you are one of those people who are looking for great and amazing place to grab some quality food. Also a perfect place to bring your family and enjoy. Gus’ Diner is everything! Their employees here are decent, nice, and attentive. They will satisfy you and you will absolutely be going to leave the place happy and full. The food here is fair and reasonably priced. You can literally buy and order anything you want from the menu without breaking your pockets. You can save a lot of money here compared buying to other resto around the place. This place is a hidden gem of Rolling Meadows. The service is exceptional. The food is incredible. The staff is great. The place is fantastic. Gus’ Diner is everything. No wonder why lots of people keeps coming back again and again. This place is really awesome. I will definitely go back here again when I am back to the city. Will also recommend this place to all the people I know. More customers to come guys! You all did a very great job! Well done! Keep up the good work! Thank you so much!
