Caffe Tempo

We happened upon Cafe Tempo on a hot summers day last year. What a find! Quality drinks, delicious cakes, friendly service, and competitive prices. We'd been struggling to avoid the chain cafes that day, but it was well worth the wait. Devastated to hear your plight on R2 today. Wishing you all the best for the future...

We visited Ripon for the day on our holiday and nipped in here desperate for a drink. I was very happy for a yorkshire lass who moved away years ago to finally get Yorkshire tea but I was more impressed by the lovely ladies. When we were leaving, my two kids were desperate for the delicious cakes on display. They went to the till and asked if we could take a few away and the staff were absolutely amazing. They politely helped them pick out what they wanted and nicely wrapped the buns up. When we left, the ladies said bye and hoped we had a lovely day. If we visit Ripon again, we'll definitely be back. Thank you.

Independant coffee shop selling drinks and cake/scones, coffee was very good and service OK. My only problem was we had to use the only table empty which was right by the door and the coffee machine, so everytime a lazy person used the door they left it open and it was windy, everytime the coffee machine was used we could not hear each other. So chatting over a coffee was out. Maybe have a shuffle round with tables.

The vibes in this fine establishment are akin to the soul-penetrating warmth that comes from having a hot shower after an arduous day's hiking. The staff are superb, the coffee is stellar and the sheer ambience of the place was distilled from nothing but the highest grade of genuine, heartfelt, optimism. It was then wafted about the place with a generous lashing of love. In short, visit this darn café. Go on, do it. No shenanigans now.
