I came here recently again with 2 friends and was sorely disappointed by the food that came out. I love Korean food so I've eaten at almost every restaurant in Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby etc. We ordered 4 dishes so I had a pretty good idea of what they offered. We had the bulgogi, tteokbbokki (rice cakes), dakgaelbi, and japchae. The beef was overcooked and it was the tiniest portion I had ever seen. The vegetables take up a majority of the plate and don't leave much room for the meat to shine. The rice cakes were really hard and not soft and chewy. The japchae was ok but tiny. Everything was really salty. They no longer give complimentary congee and you can only refill side dishes once. Each dish was ~$20 so it was quite steep for what we were getting. However, what was even worse was the service. The elderly gentleman (the owner?) gave us our cheque at 9:45PM before we were even done eating and told us they were closing. Understandable so we took care of the bill. At 9:55PM we were still chatting and eating but he took away 2 of our plates even when I told him I wasn't finished. Then, when I requested 2 take out containers he told me I only needed one. Thus, I couldn't bring home the leftover japchae and had to finish it on the spot. Not cool. ~$100 for 3 people def not a good deal Would not recommend this place at all when there's so many other better spots out there. would not come again/10

B7 bulgogi sundobu (grilled beef + soft tofu soup) 2. F7 gamjatang (spicey pork bone stew soup) note: side dishes can be refilled once

I dont understand the high review of this place. Maybe they changed ownership? The food is average, portion is small and the price is ridiculous. The beef in the bulgogi hot pot was mushy and the broth was flavourless. There was barely anything in it. There was barely anything in it. They charge $35 that? It doesn't even come with rice. The tteokbokki was $18 for maybe 12 pieces hidden under a big thin chip to mask the small portion. When the main dish isnt the star there's a problem. The worst is the "starred" comments, no birthday cake, 1 refill of side dish max, min $12.50 per person excluding tax and BEVERAGES, prices changes without notice....you mean on the menu it says $10 but you can charge me whatever. Its worth 2 stars because the staff was at least pleasant and the place is clean. I'd say skip this place it's not worth it.

I'm not sure why I haven't entered my review on this very good Korean restaurant yet. I've been here periodically for the past few years. It's a family-run business so you'll​ see the same good staff each time. They have good Korean food and it seems quite authentic to me. It also appears a bit healthier than the standard Korean joints. In Richmond, I don't think there is a better choice. It's quite small so make sure you go slightly earlier. Parking will be a hassle if you don't go earlier too. Good service! :)

This is what I am talking about when it comes to Seafood Pancake, Japchae and Rice Cake with Spicy Pepper paste. As authentic as you can get to Korean food in Richmond. There are a lot of pretenders, especially in Richmond, but this establishment has them all beat. Place is a little bit small so reservation highly recommended.
