South Of The Wall

Not one to leave reviews good or bad, but this establishment was extremely average. My girlfriend and I arrived an hour late to a group booking and had people order food for us. We had our food given to us once we arrived late, but everyone else in the group who had ordered 45 minutes before we came had not received anything. I ordered a burrito and it was very sloppy and didn’t taste very good at all. The rest of the group received their food about 90 minutes after ordering it, which was terrible service. The guests I was with were also sitting out the back in the courtyard area on a hot day. There was an electric veranda that could cover the area which wasn’t used until we asked to cover the area as it was very hot and sunny. A waitress moved the veranda and covered us but then the manager re opened the cover so we were all in the hot sun again unable to even look in a certain direction to speak to one another. We’d also ordered drinks in which we didn’t receive multiple (eg ordered 2 margaritas and only received one), again terrible service. The worst part is the owner of the restaurant sat 5 metres away with a larger table than us and received all their food and drinks swiftly whilst we didn’t receive food or drinks for extended periods of time. Either the owner is selfish or does not give a care in the world for their customers.

We did an afternoon bottomless brunch and let me tell you, we have done a few😅 in our time. The food was both tasty, filling and appropriate. The drinks were delicious and frequent, the bartender Kate made sure we were ALWAYS looked after ❤️❤️. The vibes at south of the wall were so fabulous and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar event. Thanks so much guys!!!

Enjoyed the bottomless Mexican on Saturday night and although the service lacked at the beginning, it most definitely picked up as the night went on. Daniel made a kind effort to chat with us and the other staff were pleasant. Food was good and the jugs of margarita and mojito were nice. Atmosphere was fun and full of life, I do recommend a visit.

Just walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the establishment. Ordering was a treat with really personalised service. Just loved the selection of authentic Mexican drinks on offer. Food was on the table in next to notice considering the number people in the restaurant. Well worth a visit and a return visit.

We booked this venue for a birthday of more than 20 people on Saturday night and did the $99 set menu. We received terrible service from a female waiter/manager who came across very aggressive and was rude to multiple of the guests at the party. She was very rude when we ordered drinks or asking simple questions on how the night was meant to run. Later in the evening we had other waiters slamming doors, sighing and being very short again with our group. This venue is not suited to a big group sitting in the evening. Quality of food was good but quantity was not enough for a 3 hour bottomless sitting. Sone waitresses were lovely and helpful. information on how the night was to run and how guests were meant to pay wasn’t consistent with events people to on the night managers. We don’t believe the alcohol jugs had standard alcohol percentages. All in all unfortunately a few key staff members/managers ruined the hard work of the kitchen and some waiters.
