This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots ever. The biscuit was light and fluffy, the gravy was packed with flavor and not too dense. The fried chicken was airy and crispy and moist. And the eggs and cheese were perfect. I will definitely be back.

This place was nothing short of amazing. We visited here for the first time. I love a good sausage gravy biscuit, it was great. Their sausage gravy had a bit of a kick to it. More than I expected. But nonetheless still good. Their hashbrowns are my favorite kind as well. Oh & they have the sausage ball things that are oh so good. It comes with some type of jelly/jam or sauce. Again a bit of a kick. But still good! Their waffles are great as well. The service was excellent and I would definitely revisit if in the area again.

I came here as part of a Yelp Elite experience and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the chicken club because I had been craving a BLT so why not get the closest thing plus chicken lol?! My boyfriend had the five and dime biscuit, we were headed to the airport so we ordered to go. I definitely think the food was filling and the biscuits were fresh, absolutely loved that you could see them prepping the dough for the biscuits as you waited to order. I added hot sauce and honey mustard to my chicken club and it was perfect; I’d definitely order the five and dime (sausage gravy) again the next time I return. It had so much flavor and my boyfriend couldn’t stop talking about it. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

We were looking for a low key place to have a good breakfast and stumbled across this amazing restaurant. The food is great and the service is wonderful. Brian is the absolute best!!! Thank you for your hospitality!

Great brekky/brunch option in Short Pump. My family ate here on a lazy Sunday morning on our way out of Richmond and we were impressed by the quality of the dishes. Between the four of us, we had The Cowboy, The Frittaffle, The Sticky Maple, and the Extreme B&G. The biscuits were fluffy and flaky, the pecanwood smoke bacon was awesome, and generally every dish was just right. Pleasant atmosphere and outdoor dining option too. This was our first time and will be back. Come prepared to name your order by your favorite cereal...use something unique so your order isn't Frosted Flakes 27 or Cheerios 15.

Love this new addition to the Short Pump area. The Sausage Gravy over biscuit with the runny egg was so yummy and rich. I didn’t want lunch after eating one. Everything I had was hardy. Great selection of coffee. What a great way to start day!

Enjoyed your place thoroughly! Great food and fresh pressed OJ! The portions are extremely large and this sandwich could've been for two people. They get a star review because they were running out of everything. No apple butter, no utensils, low on oranges for juice, just not properly prepared for the busy holiday season. I would 100% go back though! Loved the food!

It's a cute little restaurant in a strip mall along Broad St in the busy Short Pump area of western Henrico. They specialize in chicken and biscuits and various combinations of the two. I got one of the biscuit sandwiches with chicken strips, bacon, fried egg and gravy. The chicken was really the standout and made me wish I would have just gotten a chicken strip basket. The biscuit seemed fine but kind of lost in everything else. Prices were a little high for a single sandwich, but it was a good-sized sandwich. I stop in again for the chicken.

Customers walk up to the counter, place order, pay, and then find a table and fix your drink while waiting for them to call your name. There is outdoor seating available on a small patio in the front There are tables, booths, and a large round table towards the middle of the seating area. It was my first time trying an egg over easy, and it was delicious. I ordered the Potatoes O'Ryan Bowl has the components of a breakfast in one bowl. I didn't give specifics on my eggs and assumed it would be scrambled. I'm glad I tried it with the eggs over easy as mixing it in my bowl gave such a good bite to the potatoes, peppers, onions, and turkey sausage mix. The drink station on the side has to go cups for coffee and for drinks.

The chicken and waffles (they call it something else) was so super delicious! I wanted to keep eating even after i was no longer hungry. It was satisfyingly sweet and savory. I also bought latte. I don't remember the flavor but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. I don't know if there is a way for them to adjust the sweetness, but that would be an improvement.

Breakfast this morning for my family. Ordered 2 retro bacon-egg-cheese biscuits and 2 retro egg-cheese biscuits and 4 “smash” browns. When I arrived there was no line and no waiting although the restaurant was quite full. Ordered take out and it was ready in under 10 minutes despite the restaurant being busy. As I was waiting, a large line formed at the register. This appears to be a popular breakfast spot. Food was great, biscuits very fluffy. When ordering, I was asked how I wanted my egg on the biscuit, nice touch. You can see the kitchen and everything is being made by scratch. The stand-out item is the “smash” brown. My only regret is that I did not order more. I highly recommend trying these. Overall great experience, great food. I will return.

Seriously fantastic! We are from Texas and visiting my Fiancé parents for the week, looked this place up and so happy we did! Hear me out..you THINK with a biscuit it would be that much food or full you up, right? NOPE! This was ALOT of food! THE COFFEE IS AMAZING!!! didn't get any beans while I was there so hoping to order some! Pro tip: they ask you the name of your favorite band, and that's how they call out your order!

The Squawking Goat is awesome. Chicken is tender, moist and flavorful. Batter is delicious adding to the flavor. Pepper jam is sweet with a slight heat. The portion is surprisingly generous. Stacked to the ceiling! Flavors come together well. The sausage gravy has a made from scratch flavor and texture, much better than the average place, but not as good as some hole-in-the-wall biscuit places. It has more heat than I like, but not not much more. The coffee is very good. The ice coffee has a good flavor. The sweet tea is weak—not what I expect from a Southern food place. Update: The maple syrup meatballs are delicious. Tea is stronger. The home fries were very dry and hard like potato chips.

I love biscuits so I absolutely had to try this place. I got the Frittaffle and my friend got the Garden Fritaffle. Naturally we ordered biscuits as well - she got jam, I got two - one with apple butter and the iced cinnamon roll. The biscuits and service are FIVE STARS. Such good biscuits. I could eat them every day. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The beverages are also really tasty (according to my friend). She had a lemonade and a coffee. The frittaffle is just sort of odd though. The eggs are cooked in a waffle maker and they are oddly chewy. They also needed a lot of salt. The potatoes that come with it are covered in a seasoning that had a little too much kick for me. I do highly recommend the biscuits. They are an absolute treat.
