El Mexicano

Very unimpressed. Called in for a carryout order and was greeted with a "Hello" nothing else, had to ask to verify I had called the correct place. Person taking the order didn't confirm the order or provide cost, but did give a 20 minute timetable. We arrived just after the 20 minute window to find the restaurant only partially full and our food not ready. Waited another 15 minutes for the food then got home to find one of the orders wrong. Didn't want to go back and found the food rather tasteless. I'm sticking with Los 5 Amigos from now on where we are always treated with great service and the food is good.

First time we've eaten at this location. We have eaten at the Salina and at the Mt. Pleasant locations several times. My husband ordered the daily special which is supposed to come with a free drink, but he didn't want a soft drink and ordered water.. I ordered a Pepsi, thinking it would count as his free drink. The waitress wrote the order up as the regular 2 beef enchiladas and water for him, and a pork burrito and Pepsi for me. When the ticket came, we had been charged full price of $9.99, which was $1 more than the price of the special. Then we were charged $2.69 for the soft drink that should have been free. When I told the cashier about the overcharge, she asked if I was the one who drank the Pepsi (I had a take out cup in my hand). I said yes. She said that since I was the one who drank it, she couldn't count it as his free drink. So... boy did we get a good deal on his $8.99 special! It only cost us $11.68. Needless to say, we won't be going back to this location again. The food was good, but it's better in both of the other locations.

Ok to start off with. I don’t really like Mexican food. My wife loves it, but I’m not the biggest fan. I can honestly say because of one dish I will continually come back to this place. I got the Flautas with rice and beans. They even did steak in it, which isn’t on the menu, and it tasted sooooo good! Nice service, not too bad a weight time. Amazing food!
