Red Mango

BE WARNED: ~$20 per person FROYO Haven’t been to a Red Mango in years since all locations in South Texas closed. Was really looking forward to visiting while driving through Dallas and went out of the way during my road trip. Was not expecting to pay $17 for a standard size of frozen yogurt. I heard a man saying “wow $20” as he was exiting and I was entering. Didn’t think he was talking about the yogurt. Just wanted to share this information with others who are not prepared to pay $20 per person for frozen yogurt.

So good I almost finished it even before the photo. But in all honesty the only reason why I’m writing this review is because all of the girls there were so extremely friendly and personable. It’s rare that you find staff that is so eager to serve their customers and be personable at the same time It made me wanna come back and support this location.

We ordered 2 pink bowls (smoothie/acai bowls) and it was the worst smoothie bowls we've ever tried. When the worker brought it out it was completely melted and had a water consistency. It tasted like nothing special, basically colored water with fruit on top. Not only was it a bad smoothie bowl but it was $10 for 1 bowl.

The smoothie was pretty good. One thing I didn’t like was how confusing the process of ordering was. I don’t know they just hired new people, but it wasn’t organized. The workers weren’t super friendly. It was my first time there and I think she was annoyed for some reason. No one really smiled. When I got to places, I go for the experience. I could have just made this smoothie at home. Even though it was a good smoothie, I will find a place where the people are a little bit more enthusiastic about being in customer service.

I understand that everyone wants to be done working on a late night but when your sign says "Hours Vary" and you've got a soccer team coming in at 9:59 on a Friday night, you stay open to serve them and you don't turn off the lights over the seating area while people are still eating. Bad business. Some of our team got food but some did not. I have a feeling their general manager would not be happy. As far as food goes, the cookies and ice cream looked good, but there was a low section of froyo flavors, only 3 when they have the compacity for 6. Well, as I sit writing this, we've now been told (not asked) to leave so they can mop. We've only been here 15 mins. How rude. I've NEVER been in any establishment that has asked people to leave before. We will not be returning nor will any of the 18 plus family members on our team.
