Pho' Ok!

Unassuming, quiet eatery close to a park I run at. I popped in to try their banh mi. The bread was good. Sandwich was filled with fresh veggies. The grilled pork was the better of the 2 sandwiches I ordered but that’s my personal fave. I truly did not expect it to be as good as it was and that’s always a lovely surprise. I hope more and more people visit bc it truly was quite good.

Pho NOT OK. Holy hell everything we ordered was terrible. Got the hu tieu kho and it was the worst thing Ive ever had. It just tasted like instant noodles. Home cooks can make it better. Then I got the hu tieu ga. Which is suppose to be a meat broth but when it came out it had a seafood broth. I'm allergic to seafood AND the menu didn't say it was a seafood broth. The broth was also very overpowering that u basically couldn't taste anything else. Then we got the rice dish with pork chop and egg. It was ok, but that dish is also really hard to mess up so.... Overall terrible.

Checked out all of the positive reviews, especially noticing the many positive reviews from the Vietnamese community. That's always a plus. I lives in Vietnam for 10+ years so I would definitely have to say my wife and I are very particular about the quality of our Pho. Pho OK definitely have the true authentic flavors just like the best Pho place in Ho Chi Minh City. They give a generous bowl of pho with plenty of broth, noodles and very tender beef. Definitely my wife's favorite place as well as mine. Our order was togo and we were completely satisfied. Even the prices for all the items were much better than other Vietnamese restaurants throughout the area up to Plano and Frisco. We are definitely coming back and recommending this awesome place.

If you want great Vietnamese food in Richardson then Pho OK is for you. Came here for lunch and had their Hu Tieu Tom Thi Muc (8.25$) and Bun Bo Hue (8.25$) and both were very good. Both dishes had nice flavor, not the best I’ve had but still relatively good. I love their portion size and prices probably the best in Richardson for a Vietnamese restaurant. The owner/server was extremely nice and friendly making it hard not to leave a big tip. I absolutely recommend Pho Ok to anyone that like to try Vietnamese food. You really can’t go wrong here.
