Great fish/chip shop! Food is delicious and the lamb and mint rissole are to die for! Highly recommended

Really enjoyed food at the crispy cod today, it was just what we needed. My mum been off her food a little and this definitely helped her appetite, we all had the Hake and it was beautiful. We will be back. If I could give any constructive comments it would just be it was a little bit cold in the restaurant. Note to owner I really think something could be done on your website to promote the DINE IN as it is not that obvious unless you already knew like we did. I can't understand how with such beautiful food being served and we were the only people sitting in, people are missing out. Probably the only other small negative thing would be we couldn't have a hot drink as the drinks machine was broken and they don't own a kettle, I did find that strange, sorry. Will definitely be back though, we wouldn't let that stop us.

Crispy Cod in Gelli is our favourite fish and chips takeaway and delivery, but we thought we'd eat in one Sunday when we didn't fancy cooking. The restaurant is bright and airy and spotlessly clean. We were greeted warmly and given the menu blackboard. We both chose the haddock and chips, and it was a beautiful bit of fish, dazzlingly white flesh, golden and crispy batter, piles of proper chips and absolutely not greasy. Huge portions and you could taste how fresh the fish was. Superb!

This chip shop/restraunt establishment is very well run. I had Haddock and my wife had the Chicken platter and we were both very impressed with the quality. The chips were crispy yet fluffy inside, a rare combination these days. The restaurant area was beautifully clean and the toilets were spotless!
If the public toilets are clean then I think you can always take it as a given that the kitchen area will be the same. The hand dryer wasn't working but apart from they were perfect. THAT'S RARE.
The young lass who served us was polite and seemed genuinely interested that we were enjoying our meal. In my time in south Wales I've yet to find a better fish and chip shop. RECOMMENDED
*Update 11-4-22*
Returned today as we found out that the seated resturaunt area is now open again. Happy to report that the food is every bit as good as before and we really enjoyed our meal there.
The hand dryer is now working too 😆

They have a nice menu some different options which is lovely to see. The food is always a great quality, we have been several times now at different times of the day and never has any issues..The staff are very polite and always smiling it's a bit of a trek for us but we will always keep going back , you must try this place I recommend it ☺️

Always epic. From their fish and chips to their seafood platters and now fish market. Crispy Cod & The Rock & Scallop bring pure joy to my life having such easy access to the taste of the sea. Mathew and the team are 6* and absolutely amazing and love how they being the sea to the land and to our taste buds. Highly recommend them for everything they do.

Been wanting to visit for ages, managed to pick up one of their seafood platters for New Years Eve. Fantastic quality fresh seafood. Loved everything. Can't wait to visit in the future for some Fish & Chips

The Valleys have many fine chip shops, but this is one of the best! The food is always fresh, piping hot, and cooked to perfection, and the portions are generous, representing excellent value for money. Even in the midst of a national crisis, the staff are efficient and friendly, and they also accept card payments, which makes life a lot easier when cashpoints are hard to find.

Visited this evening and the food is amazing. We had regular cod chips and fish cake.. fish cake is the best we have ever had. Lots of choice on the menus and all seemed to be cooked fresh to order. We will return when next in the area

Had the seafood platter as a treat for my birthday and it did not disappoint!!!the lobster was out of this world...and everything else was so fresh and tasty, sourced from West Wales!!!would highly recommend!!!not your average fish shop...very innovative with the menu!!!the fish and chips are awesome too!!!
