Popoed in for a spot of lunch and very glad we did. Weekday special was 2 courses for £16.95, available Monday to Friday. Very good value.
Highlights were lovely creamy Mushrooms on a hunk of Sourdough, and the slab of Cheese n Onion pie. Decent pint of Timmy Taylors and proper full when we left.

Impromptu visit while in the area. We thought we would just be getting the usual 'pub grub' but the food was delicious! Staff friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Would have preferred cheese sauce instead of gravy with cheese & onion pie.

Food is amazing! Homely, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is great, staff are attentive and very friendly. Lovely country pub feel.

Only stopped for a brew on a walk round Bull Hill and Holcombe. Highly recommend the hot chocolate on a cold day
