Macado's

Low rating for my most recent visit. We were there early afternoon on a Monday. The server had two tables, the rest of the dining area was empty. Service was slow, order was wrong. I told the server we were in a hurry and she moved even slower! Thankfully this was not my first visit and I know they typically have great service. I recommend you giving it a try if you are in the area.

Tonight was worst visit to a Macados my friends and I have ever experienced. We were initially told we couldn’t sit bar side which wasn’t a big deal but the bar was fairly empty. Before our server even greeted us, we overheard another table complain to the host about how they had waited a long time for their food. Their table and ours (a total of 6 people) were the ONlY ones sitting in the dining room. Although our server greeted us right away, from that point on she was incredibly slow. It took 20-30 minutes before she took our entree orders when we could visibly see we were her only table. The two appetizers we order came out at different times and our spinach dip was cold. The same goes for the the entrees which also came out at completely different times. Our drinks (one mixed drink and a pitcher) took 30 minutes from the time we ordered it to hit the table, when they did come we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our mugs for the beer. The glasses didn’t come to the table until after we had started eating our entrees. The waitress told us that the entire usual staff refused to work weekends because the assistant manger was not hired into the GM role. Maybe they are right. Our server also made it abundantly clear that she did not want to be there or serve us. She was incredibly slow until we asked for our checks which she was able to bring us immediately. We were a table of four and are all current employed as bartenders and servers in the industry. The overall service and attitudes of the staff were not at all acceptable.

We had family visit from NC and came in to grab dinner. A party of 8. Was told OK just a minute as the boy stared at the table setup sheet. A couple minutes later he tells us they can't serve us because they don't have staff willing to handle our table size. OK. I get being short staffed, but as a former server, serving a table of 8 is no different than serving 2 tables of 4, which they had no problem seating. We came in, expecting a wait, even though there were only a handful of tables. Did not expect to be turned away. We use to come here at least 3/4 times a month, but will not be returning. This location has really gone down hill.

I love the Chicken Cordon Boo sandwich they have. It's my go to order every time I go. As always that is what I got and it was great and the brownie pie dessert was great as well however they completely forgot our appetizer which I would have loved to have tried but when we called it to their attention they immediately removed it from the check. All in all wasn't a bad visit just slightly disappointing as the upkeep of the place has fallen short of what it used to be.

If I could 0 star this place I would. Me and my girlfriend waited 50 mins after ordering for our food, only for the waitress to come out and tell us it would still be a while til it was done. At this point we paid for our drinks and left. We ordered 2 simple sandwiches. Having both worked at restaurants before, me for over 4 years, that was beyond disappointing. Make note that we got our appetizer 35 mins after ordering it, only for it to be barely warm.
