This is a place with cute little Ambience who serve great food and drinks. The best part is the desserts. Especially the cheesecake . They just melt in your mouth instantly. We also had Bacon Burger , Paneer Pizza , Chilly Prawns , Hummus and pita ,Cheeseballs and Chicken Momos . The momos were a bit disappointing but others were top notch. Moreover the cocktails here are one of a kind.

Finally got to try the outlet of pune german bakery after having a wonderful experience in mumbai. This outlet is located on the main road and has a small entrance with a long corridor to the inside sittings. The ambiance is lowkey with songs in the background to give it a lively feel. I tried had cocktails which were one of the best i had Drinks: Whisker cooler 5/5 Rosemary elder martini 5/5 Karapple cocktail 4/5 Frrrrrozen hot chocolate 5/5 best drink/shake i felt i had there. Creamy hazel 5/5 This one was suggested by the staff and was living up to the expectations as the names gives. Must try. Then we started with Hummus & pita 5/5 was great at presenting and delicious hummas with soft pita breads. Lahsa chicken momos 4/5 steamed momos w/ great chutney by side. Worth a try. Cheese & jalapeño nuggets 5/5 stuffing was drool worthy. Szechuan chilli pepper prawns 4/5 heads up they are a way spicy dish so only the spice lovers indulge in that. Spicy mustard cottage cheese pizza 5/5 tried very few veg pizzas but this one tops the lit. Must try. Gafield’s cheesy chicken lasagna 3/5 it was a bit disappointing for me I didn’t like its flavour. Bacon & cheese burger 4/5 was a bit dry and could have been more saucy but was great at flavour and taste. Desserts were the best part and it had to be coz we were expecting the same from bakery! Raspberry red velvet cheesecake 5/5 Blueberry cheesecake 5/5 Chocolate lamingtons 4/5 was covered with coconut sprinkles. A best evening spent at this great place and would surely be visiting again. The staff was helpful and courteous and had a great time with such delicious food dishes! Must visit. Highly recommended.

Was here for dinner. Have been to multiple times to the SB road outlet, glad that one opened at kothrud. The space is relatively small compared to other German Bakery Outlets. Has those classic tables and chairs found at every GB outlet. Coming to place its nice and calm, good music and fine food! Lets start with what I had, ▪DRINKS Lichi Cooler and Passion Twister was what we had in mocktails. They were nice and refreshing. Rosemary and elder martini was nice strong drink which i loved. Creamy Hazelnut had nice coffee blend flavour, perfect for coffee lovers. ▪FOOD GERMAN BAKERY SPECIAL SALAD The salad was super refreshing and healthy. Had loads of veggies, pickled beetroots and processed cheese. The lettuce used was fresh. It had bit tangy flavour perfect to go with the mocktails. CHEESE AND JALAPENO NUGGETS The nuggets were deep fried, had crisp coating and filled with cheese that burst into your mouth. Dish was simple served with some greens and sauce. FISH AND CHIPS Has always been my fav. Deep fried fish that has cripsy coating accompanied with masala fries and mayonnaise. SPICY CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS Chicken Drumsticks were as expected as the name says! Hot and spicy loaded with masala and super flavourful. Loved this one! MASALA CHICKEN CHIPS This were the same as the fish and chips. Accompanied with nice mayonnaise and that hot masala flavour. FARMHOUSE PIZZA Pizza is thin crust, huge , loaded with veggies and cheese. Pizza is topped with varieties of peppers i.e red, green and yellow, broccoli, onions,olives, etc. Veg people out there shouldn't miss it! CHICKEN STROGANOFF Chicken Stroganoff had a small heap of rice accompanied with spicy flavourful chicken gravy that was loaded with chicken strips and onion greens. Loved the way whole dish came out. POPCORN MUSHROOM DYNAMITE It was small crispy circular deep fried mushroom popcorn. A good veg version of chicken popcorns. HUMMUS AND PITA Hummus and Pita is everyones favourite. German's Hummus Pita is Pretty good in taste and quantity. Hummus that was mild yet impactful in flavour along with fresh of pita bread. This is the healthiest of all. GARFIELD'S VEG LASAGNE This is farmost the best place to have lasagne in pune for the veg people. The perfectly baked lasagna sheets, loads of cheese and veggies. It was supery creamy and delicious to have. It had veggies like zucchini, bell peppers, corns, mushrooms, etc. Do try this and thank me later. ▪DESSERTS CHEESECAKESSSS! Visit to german bakery isn't accomplished if you dont have a cheesecake! They had 3 flavours available at that time and we tend to order all the three i.e Mango Cheesecake, Raspberry and redvelvet cheese cake and the Blueberry cheesecake. Mango cheesecake is the iconic german bakery dessert and the most favourite one. All the cheesecakes were fresh, right balanced of sweet and flavour. GERMAN BAKERY SACHERTORTE This has become my new favourite. The gooey chocolatey piece of cake that is just pure bliss as you have your first bite. They have the perfect layers of cake, is super fresh and damn tasty! Dont miss on this one! Talking of whole experience it was nice, as it was my first visit. Comparing it to the othet outlets they do need lots of improvement to be done, but eventually they will as it is a new branch. Staff members are super polite and helpful. And the whole atmosphere is welcoming! Looking forward to my another visit..

Location & Ambience Pune's most go to place to chill has now made its way to Kothrud after serving people with their amazing food and drinks in KP and law college road. Located on the main Paud Road. German Bakery provides for pretty outdoor seating with their signature white coloured furniture. The place is as always lit up with some music. Food & Beverages They serve a varied range of Food & Drinks. Starting with Cocktails - Rosemary elder martini : A variation of martini with Vodka, rosemary and elder flower shaken with fresh orange. Sweet and sour at the same time - Whiskers Cooler : This one's for all the Whiskey lovers. Whiskey mixed with cucumbers and mint to give it a refreshing punch. - Creamy Hazel : How about your espresso in vodka. Yes you heard it right. An amazingly delicious combination of vodka, Hazelnut, espresso and fresh cream. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* Mocktails - Virgin Pinacolada : It's smooth, creamy & made with coconut milk. It's a great drink to make on a warm day! Shakes - Oreo Shake : Everyone's Favourite delicious oreos turned into a milkshake. Appetizers - Hummus & Pita Bread : Hummus with pita bread is a classic middle eastern snack. Hummus is a Levantine dip or spread made from chickpeas or other beans. Hummus dip is most commonly eaten with Pita bread. - Cheese n Jalapeño nuggets : Extra creamy, extra cheesy and extra flavorful – these Crispy Cheese Jalapeno Bites (Fried Cheese Balls) are PERFECT for game day snacking and entertaining and go well with the Drinks. Main course - Mustard cottage cheese pizza : The perfect thin crust with some delicious toppings tossed in Mustard sauce is a vegetarian heaven. Desserts - Blueberry Cheesecake : This blueberry cheesecake starts with a buttery graham cracker crust, a creamy cheesecake center, and a tangy blueberry swirl. - Raspberry Red Velvet Cheesecake : This Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake has layers of moist red velvet cake and creamy cheesecake, covered in cream cheese frosting topped with delicious raspberries. - Chocolate Lamington : The chocolate bomb topped with loads of coconut crush. Staff & Service The staff is friendly and the service is prompt!

After serving Punekars at Law college road, & Koregaon Park, German Bakery is all set to host Kothrudkars with their amazing dishes. Even though, I have been to the former branches, I couldn't hold onto the excitement of this new branch. Quietly nestled in the MIT-esque zone, the location couldn't have been a better one in Kothrud. Not offering a huge arena inside, the people shouldn't expect it to be like their other branches. I wish they had more space though! Coming to the food, I started with the Popcorn mushroom dynamite & it was really good. Popcorn alike tiny stuff, filled with chicken & coupled with mayonnaise, was a great start to my meal. Next I had were Chicken drumsticks, which were really crunchy & full of spices & tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend these two dishes. Next up was, the G. Bakery's signature - classic Kheema Pav. I was recommended by the management, & it totally paid off. Dark in colour, & paired up with pav it made decent dish. It might dodge you with its spicy look (colour) at the first. Post that, tried Chicken lasagna, which I felt could have been a bit better. I would consider it just a bad day for the lasagna. One can try that here otherwise. In drinks, I tasted a few & I felt they were good. Jump to desserts, German bakery has always been a good place to their desserts. Raspberry red velvet cheese cake was the best of the lot. Loved the way it was presented, & the texture, taste made even look better. Mango cheesecake was decent & so was the German bakery Sachertorte. Little bit of moistness could do wonder for the torte. In a nutshell, this Kothrud branch is new & putting in their best to serve the crowd. I'm sure this place will be the same crowd puller as their formers are doing. German Bakery Wunderbar has always had a special place in every kothrudkars heart. Mainly because of the law college road branch for a long time being one of the very few classy places to hang out in this side of the town which was classy and of course affordable at the same time. So when Wunderbar finally came to Kothrud’s shores I was excited. The prevalent Owl outside and the netted white tabletops set the mood. Just like its elder sister out at Law college this one is also cosily located in a floor level structure of a building. Space isn’t huge but is perfect for a casual dine-in. They also have an extended floor where they have an air-conditioned seating arrangement. The location fits well in the agenda of a college crowd and is well placed for the MIT-ians. Speaking about the food, they have stuck to their classic menu from their previous restaurants. It was natural for us to go to our favourite choices. We started with fish and chips and chicken drumsticks. Fish and Chips- Well the light and tenderness of fish and chips with the crunch of the french fries are worth dying for, and Wunderbar delivers. The Fish and chips were light and tasted amazing with the light mayonnaise. Chicken Drumsticks- These were a total surprise. The marinate had a crunch and loads of Indians spices. Nothing does more justice in my opinion to meat than Indian spices. Veggie Momo’s- Next on the list was Veggie Momos’. The tender skinny momo dumpling made my day. The dough was freshly made and the veggie momo experience was complete with the hot sauce it came along with. Veggie foodies must try it. Kheema Pav- As they call it the classic kheema pav of Wunderbar. We had to have a go at it. The kheema pav tasted delicious but the kheema had too much of food colour in it. The taste and quality were compromised for aesthetics. Chicken Lasagna- Last but not the least Lasagna. I have loved their chicken lasagna always unfortunately for this time it was a miss. The lasagna had got all soggy and the cheese layer was too tough to go through. It tasted brilliant and I would recommend everyone to surely try it for the taste. Dessert- The desserts we were served were pastries made inhouse by Wunderbar. The Raspberry red velvet cheesecake was a winner. It was fresh and a crumbly tart bottom and had the hint of acidity due to the raspberry. Highly recommended. The second dessert was the German Bakery Sachertorte. Unfortunately, the Sachertorte wasn’t fresh as it had lost all its moistness. Maybe an off day for the Torte. Overall- Wunderbar has tried their best to bring the vibes of the Law College, Wunderbar to Kothrud and they are doing pretty well on it. It’s not a race won but a run in progress for them. In short, the German Bakery Wunderbar experience has been brought closer for all Kothrudkars.

This new outlet of German Bakery right on the main road is really a nice place to chill with your friends or colleagues. They do offer you some great variety of drinks and food. . Mocktails 1) Litchi Cooler - This was one of the best Mocktails i have ever had. The flavour of litchi was dominant and it had a perfect balance of sweetness. Also their presentation was upto the mark. But the quantity was bit less. 2) Watermelon Mojito - This one was average. It had a combined taste of watermelon and mint. Watermelon lovers can give this a try. 3) Spicy Guava - Me not being a great fan of guava, didn't like it much. But as spice and guava goes really well those who like guava can go for it. Starters : 1)Mushroom Popcorn Dynamite - We tried this for the first time and i really loved it. It had very slight taste of mushroom to it as they were very properly coated and marinated. The cheesy dip alongside complemented the popcorn pretty well. Those of you, who don't like mushroom should definitely try this 😋 2) Paneer Chilly - The Paneer pieces were pretty soft and well marinated with Chinese sauce. They were cut long and sauteed along with green chilly, bell peppers and onion. But the look of paneer chilly could have been more appealing. 3) Cheese Balls - The Cheese Balls were totally bomb. They were very cheesy and had jalapeño flavour as well. I just loved the taste as well as the presentation was decent. Main Course 1) Veg Lasagne - The Lasagne was also delicious. The vegetables were finely chopped and properly stuffed between Lasagne sheets. The topayer of baked cheese made it even better. The quantity was also satisfactory. 2) Thai Curry With Rice - The green Thai Curry was droolworthy. The veggies were well cooked and the coconut taste was upto the mark. The quantity was a bit less though. 3) German Bakery Special Farmhouse Pizza - This pizza had a topping of all exotic veggies including broccoli, zucchini, olives and loaded with cheese. The crust was thin just the way I love it and quantity was filling. Just it had a bit of extra salt. Desserts Red Velvet Raspberry Cheesecake was something I tried for the first time and i personally did like it. Only the density of the cheesecake was a bit more and it felt like it was over frozen. But taste was really good. The sacchersalt pastry was totally worth it. 😍 The layers of chocolate along with Belgian chocolate cream proved to be an amazing end ❤️😋
