Olive Wheat Grape is one of those really awesome places which serves excellent food, with equally amazing service and a great classy / family vibe and ambiance. Best part is they are on Prabhat road (5 minutes from my home) and have dedicated parking in front of the restaurant with valet, which solves the biggest issue there.
I definitely think they do the one of the best hummus, and middle eastern cuisine this side of town, hands down. They have slowly added a few more cuisines and those too continue the same trend.
DRINKS - We ordered a bunch of mocktails and beverages and they were really good. The Vanilla Black Current, Fruit Punch and Cherry Coke Tail were amazing and refreshing. The Kokum Fizz, especially, was excellent with a hit of green chilli and bit of salt. The Cold Coffee is one of the best I've had in a restaurant, strong and creamy with the Ginger Tea perfect for this cold-ish weather!
STARTERS
Pickled Veggies - Typical Middle Eastern styled pickled vegetables, beets, capsicum, carrots, cauliflower etc. A perfect accompaniment to the dishes as well as a healthy snack! The whole green chilli, though, had almost no pickling, so it tasted raw and spicy. It needs to be cut into pieces or needs gashes / holes in it so that the pickle juice can enter inside and do it's magic.
Potato Broccoli Tots - Deep fried, crispy, starchy little balls of heaven. Just incredible!
Harrisa Prawns Salad - Even if you hate salads, you're gonna love this. Absolutely beautifully cooked, soft, smokey spiced prawns in a salad of charred vegetables, croutons topped with the most delicious creamy mustard sauce. It's presented beautifully as well.
PIZZA - The veg, Pizza de Fantasia was just so good. Fresh vegetables with loads of cheese and tangy, flavourful tomato sauce on a crispy smokey base. It has pineapple (I can already feel a fight brewing) and it definitely suits the flavour combo. If you don't like pineapple on pizza (which many, including me, don't like) you gotta try this one. It really works.
The non-veg one, Hawaiian, was another good pizza with loads of bacon and pineapple. This one, though, didn't taste as amazing as the other. More of the smokey, meaty bacon and another flavour element, like caramelised onions or balsamic sauce would definitely add another dimension and make it better.
SIZZLERS - Now I'm not the biggest fan of sizzlers anymore (my younger and gluttonier self used to love them, though) but these were pretty good ones. Especially as most ingredients retained their freshness and weren't just a burnt mess.
The Arabic Mutton Sizzler blew me away! Succulent, juicy mutton pieces with an excellent sauce aromatic with bold spices! The crisp wedges and rice just a perfect combo. I could have this anyday, it was my favourite of the bunch.
The Crispy Chicken Breast Sizzler too was nice with a flavourful brown sauce. The Veg Mediterranean Sizzler was decent, with falafel, fries and a really nice tangy tomato based rice. The Cajun Cottage Cheese Sizzler, wasn't that great, it just lacked flavour, it was too bland.
DESSERT - The Blueberry Cheesecake was excellent! The sweet, cheesy tangy flavours were just great and a great combination. Middle Eastern dessert Omali was amazing too. Creamy and a nice rose syrup flavour.
VERDICT - Overall the quality and taste is just great and most of the new dishes work really well! A couple of dishes need improvement, but nothing major. Definitely loved the food and would love to go back for more!

Olive Wheat Grape, is currently hosting a #Seafood Festival starting from today till 20th October.
Location : 96/B/97, Suvarnrekha Boulevard, Prabhat Road, Erandwane, Pune
This has a neat and clean open kitchen. With the guts to have so, this shows how transparent they are towards their customers and are confident about themselves #appreciated
A quiet and cozy environment , having a view of prabhat road, we started with a soup named
#Italian seafood stew, a soup made by cooking crabs, prawns & clams together. It had little flavour of fresh basil, chunky tomatoes, cubed carrots and was mildly spicy. The herbs quantity can be increased a bit to take it near to authentic. Can be a good start to the rainy evenings too.
Crab Potatoes & Corn #Croquettes, these fried fingers were made with fresh crab meat and boiled american corns with boiled potato mash to bind and was served with melted cheddar cheese dip. The covering was rightly crunchy, the filling inside had good seasoning to go with crab & corn. It wasn't very oily. Don’t they look delish too?
#dotry
Seafood #Platter - it included
Smoked #Salmon Crostini - thin smoked salmon slice over baguette. It had good feta cheese dip spread between the the salmon & bread, which gave crostini a good taste. The smoked salmon was done well, nice smoky flavour was evident.
Grilled #prawns, were served in two types of marination viz., cafreal & tomato. I liked the tomato based ones. They were grilled so need to be eaten hot, else they can be a bit dry later. Both the marination were full of flavours and unique for me.
It also had deep fried anchovies, deep fried squids, boiled eggs, some dips on plating and salad. Altogether it was a okay combo.
#Grilled lobster with corn cob, this was the show stealer for the evening. They had brushed the lobster with butter garlic and with minimal herbs used they got the best possible taste out of the grilled lobster. The dominant taste of lobster flesh was evident. It was served with a super yummy corn cob and herbs tossed rice. #musttry
I even liked the homemade tagliatelle with clams, calamari & prawns, this in house string aglio e olio pasta had got flavours.
Do visit this place to try out their hatke seafood dishes!

Olive Wheat Grape, a place located in heart of the city (if I may call it so) #PrabhatRoad. This casual dining place will give you a fine dining experience with it's pleasant and comfortable indoor seating arrangement. This place has already built a goodwill amongst the masses with their mediterranean and continental food. And, to touch the hearts further or If I may say to treat your taste buds in right way, have recently launched their #IndianMenu.
We started the evening with 2 mocktails viz., #Poinsettia which was orange based and a mocktail with spike of spicy #KokumMargarita. Kokum based mocktail was too good to resist after the 1st sip.
**They are offering a variety of gravies, rice preps and breads in Indian Menu, we had 1st hand experience or must say that we were the chosen ones to taste the below dishes before everyone else.
#Butter_Chicken, a dish which occupies a special place in most of the people's heart. Yes, I'm very particular and choosy about this dish. And, what they are serving here won me over. The orange_ish creamy gravy wasn't much sweet (you can ask for a less sweeter version or more as per your palate), had good amount of grilled and well marinated boneless chicken pieces and to complete it's royalty it was topped with cream and melted butter. #MustTry
#Mutton_Roganh_Josh, a popular kashmiri dish was prepared using goat meat and not lamb/sheep meat. Not a big fan of mutton but the meat was fresh and juicy, had taken good flavor of gravy spices too. The gravy looked heavenly on arrival. Red acceptably spicy gravy with burst of flavours from whole spices wasn't much thick but was toothsome.
#Chicken_Biryani, a non DUM version of the chicken biryani, which didn't make me miss the dum part of it😅 This luxurious delight will awestruck you with all ri

Chicken Shish Taouk was a beautiful starter with perfectly cooked chicken and the spices reflected by its aroma and taste!
SIZZLER! YES! A new addition to the menu! Mediterranean sizzler was amazing! The rice had a hint of red sauce along with it's Mediterranean roots along with the all time classic Falafel really is one to try!
Pizza De Fantasia ... Love pineapple on pizza? Well this one's definitely for you! A MUST TRY when you come here!
We finished off our meal with some fantastic desserts. The Carrot cake was one of the best I've had in Pune :)

OLIVE WHEAT GRAPE or OWG is a popular restaurant which is exclusively specialised in Mediterranean and continental cuisine ....
Have heard a lot about this dish so thought of trying it out ... Also we people have specially travelled from mumbai to pune just to try this dish ....
Would like to tell you as the moment we reached there the very first thing came to my mind was that this place is huge. This ambiance is also great, not to hoity toity not to low it was just perfect. The staff was very cooperative and the chef described everything in detail the specialty about this particular dish and was also mentioning every single thing step by step
So i have tried there famous signature dish
Note :- This particular dish needs to ordered well in advance as it takes 5 hours approx for preparation . And the quantity of this dish is sufficient for 5 to 6 people, also they have different varieties in it.
POLENTA :- Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal that was historically made from other grains. It may be served as a hot porridge, and there were lots of garlic in it which made it more tastier. Basically this is a huge dish which was served on a huge wooden plank. Where in they have spread this polenta. There was a mixture of vegetarian and non Vegetarian toppings which included Broccoli , potatoe wedges, zuicini, different types of bell pepper, beans, seek kabab, chicken wings , pineapple, cherry tomatoes, two types of olive, Two types of leafy vegetables, spicy marinara sauce, pesto sauce and then in the end Parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese.
This polenta was very well made Especially with the sauces it was even more tastier.
This dish was just yummmmm and highly recommend ... Do give a ahot if you visit pune or if you are a puneri ...
Overall have very much enjoyed my visit to owg and have tried polenta for the very first time in my entire life.. and it was completely a new experience....
10 / 10 for this place and dish

Have recently visited this place with my family, Specially trying polenta for the very first time in my entire life it was a complete new experience for me.
OLIVE WHEAT GRAPE or OWG have had a lot about this place and specially the signature dish that is Polenta. This place serves Mediterranean and Continental cuisine.
Olive wheat grape is spacious and very well kept. The ambience is also good to go with, very simple and decent but eye catching. Also the staff is very helpful and cooperative and specially the chef they are well aware about the dish.
So I have tried the famous signature there which is Poland.
This Dish serve vegetarian and non vegetarian toppings both at the same time .
Polenta which is basically a cornmeal which was full of garlic as well it is amazing to taste. They have different types of polenta .
We have tried the chicken one where in there was hot polenta whuch thet have spread it on a wooden plank... And was garnished with different toppings like vegetables, chicken ,seek kabab were there herbs, fruits for also there and not to forget the two types of sauces pesto sauce and marinara sauce which turned out very well with this polenta.
Would highly recommend this dish as it is healthy for the diet conscious people you are good to go with this one.
Very important:- This dish is sufficient for 5 to 6 people. And you may find different varieties of polenta. Also not to forget if you are planning to you go with this dish please inform the restaurant people well in advance as this dish takes 5 hours for preparation.
Overall would recommend this place and the special signature does that is polenta.

We tried a few mock tales like spicy kokum fizz and orange crush. I will admit that mock tales were a lot better than typically available. The kokum fizz had burst of multiple flavours from tangy to sweet syrup to spicy chilli imparting some heat to the drink. I will say I really enjoyed the spicy quotient to my drink.
In soups we tried two options: Roasted garlic cauliflower & cheese soup and creamy green pea’s soup. While pea’s soup was tempting and a close relative of broccoli soup, the cauliflower soup was simply ecstatic and raised the expectations bar couple of notches higher. The thick, cheesy soup had a perfect consistency; adequate salinity and a mild burnt buttery feel to it which simply stirred the soul. Unfortunately the garlic bread served along was unimpressive and should be looked into. Once perfected, I can visit the place just to have this combo over and over. #MustHave
Arancini balls: They were a great start to the meal ahead and I appreciated that they were not at all oily since they have a tendency to become oily at times. The balls made from arborio rice were golden brown, adequate crispy and paired really well with the accompanying Pesto Calabrese sauce. I would appreciate a slightly generous use of mozzarella or parmesan within balls however this could be slightly personal and I will give the recipe a nod. #GoodStart
Ratatouille pizza: the name itself had me intrigued. Ratatouille originally an Italian peasant’s dish is getting popular in the town and in a fusion avatar least to say. I had eaten Ratatouille earlier many times but a R-Pizza was a welcoming change. Apart from the bell peppers, sun dried tomatoes et all it has garlic, zucchini and aubergines for toppings. The cheese used will be less as veggies need to stand out essentially. Mix variants of cheese can make the dish more tempting but full marks for the dish so far. #ShouldTry
Spaghetti in carrot sauce:, A spaghetti in a carrot sauce is certainly something rare to find on the menu and we wanted to make the most of this opportunity. Carrot sauce was very well made and blended in perfectly with the spaghetti. The sauce can turn cold and sticky quickly; so be sure to savour it asap. #KnomKnom
Harissa Hummus: This was more of a desi hummus side dish served with pita bread. While the hummus was perfected and has adequate spicy quotient and olive oil drizzled over it; the in house pita bread needed some correction. A little more porous and less flour would have been nice. The dish in itself can be a good side dish and may be a bit of a palate cleanser too. #LovedIt
Spinach and Mushroom: A dish that uses mushrooms in a mash potato base with cheese sauce. While the dish concept was brilliant we suggested few ways of the changes that can make the dish outstanding. I would personally prefer it a lot more cheesy (fluid cheesy sauce) and a lot less of mashed potato for the mashed potato took away all the subtle flavours the dish had to offer. #ConvincingDish
Om Ali: Please make way for the sweet tooth’s in the house for here comes - Om Ali/ Umm Ali. This national dish of Egypt is made from fresh puff pastry and condensed milk. A scoop of vanilla or a fresh cream dollop is the most suitable topping for this dish. Simply loved the dish. It had diluted condensed milk with just enough sweetness for everyone’s liking. It had almonds and pistachios flakes drizzled all over.
In a nutshell, with its central location and a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes, Olive Wheat Grape is simply OMG and sure to satisfy your taste buds.
