Initially had a bad experience. But their manager was kind enough to make it upto it. I really appreciate for their efforts. Their rolls are good though. Will order again soon.

Pathetic place, no sense of customer service. Bunch of fools sitting on counter, does not even knows how to swipe a credit card. Swiped my credit card 4 times thinking machine not working and then no idea of how to return the money. The owner seems to be missing completely and does not turns up to know how are things being managed..please pay only in case if u ever end up here...horrible experience...

Visited there while returning from office. Though it's too late to control my hunger and won't possible for m 2 cooking and then have dinner. Being from Calcutta, one roll means even if it's just an egg roll it's enough for you dinner perfect for lunch. It's really hard for me understand the food habit of local people. Maybe they are not such eater as Bengali people are. The point is quantity off the roll is perfect for ants or people who have that sort of appetite. Time pass food, not to for filling your hunger. 😊

Wanted to try something other than Faaso's and Eatsome, so chose this. Order Paneer Tikka Roll and Double Egg Roll. The Egg Roll was pretty bland. I was hoping it would be like the Kathi Crossing Rolls from Nagpur, however it was nothing close to it. Was a little disappointed. The Paneer tikka roll was better. I hope they gave Soft drink (soda based) instead of Pulpy Orange. (No option was there when i ordered online).

Thought one can never go wrong with rolls and how wrong I was! Mushroom roll and paneer tikka roll were what we decided to go ahead with and were left disappointed. It was as if all the oil of the world was poured into these rolls with nothing to delight the taste buds. If only the items were as good as the photographs displayed there. Did not even finish them...

I would like to edit my review from 1 star to 3.5 stars. I raised my earlier experience ( delayed delivery and Kathi crossings refusal to give me the promo disc ) with Zomato. Later in the day I rec'd a call from Kathi Crossings owner, Mr. Bagha, apologising on his staffs behalf and offered 50% disc on my order.
This approach and response of Mr. Bagha is much appreciated!!
I ordered Butter Chicken roll and Chicken Lasooni roll.
I quite loved the B.Chkn roll, the filling was moist, spices well balanced and it did taste like Butter chkn. Yum!! Chicken Lasooni on the other was quite dry and ironically tasted very gingery. The wrap too was quite thick in comparison to the Butter chkn wrap. What I liked about both the wraps though was that I didnt even notice the presence of an egg inside. Else mostly these wrap joints make the wrap too eggy which I quite dislike.
Took Butter Chicken Roll and Chicken Cheese Spinach Roll, both with Wheat Wrap. Asked the cook for making it a bit less oily. Both the rolls were okay, wheat wrap were not tasty, filling was good though, I think salt was less in the wrap and as I asked for less oil the cook just didn't use any! Staff was nice. Took a Minute Maid Lemon @ Rs. 40 when MRP was just Rs. 25, didn't like this over pricing. Good for quick and cheap lunch alternative.

Very supportive and prompt responding staffs but the kebabs are slightly on expensive side as compared to taste , we ordered lasooni murg tikka which was not well marinated and slightly burnt although it was not well cooked from inside , comparatively roll was much better. Yet hope for better experience next time.

This place is just wow....I guess I haven't seen a bigger outlet for a frankie franchise; plus the rolls are quite good. It may be a bit pricey compared to other brands but the taste is unmatched. The place is hygienic and you'll always end up craving for more. The butter chicken roll is a must try!

With fassos and eatsome becoming pathetic at what they do where does a simple man for good rolls land in pune. Well if your reading this then you already know where to go. The rating most of the times at zomato cannot be trusted these days until the review is well describes. Nevertheless I landed here.

The name has changed from turban tikka to kathi crossing. In case your wondering the difference between rolls and kathi then lemme help you in that front. The very basic difference is that kathi is served in peices. Also rolls can come with Western filling like mayo, schezwan, think urban of fassos think roll. Where as kathi is more Indianised with more flavours of regional tandoori or lasooni texture and instead of Westend condiments is served with pudina chutney.

Landed here after and the first thing to notice is the space which is pretty open. Not idle for summer but will work. Second thing I notice is the cleanliness and the hygiene of the place. They are up top in that dept. Even their kitchen is very authentic in neat dept. Have uploaded the pic for proof.

Straight away went for the menu to realise that the kathi are not cheap. The cheapest chicken kathi is for 119 and goes till 149.

Went for the bhuna mutton roll. That arrived in brief interval and the first thing you notice is the virtually no oil spread on kathi unlike fassos who dip their rolls in oil and serve. That was a winner for me as more oil just subdued your flavour went for the rolls and they were pretty excellent with soft Maaida cover and juicy meat in the inside. Minimum oil spread made it more enjoyable. Only felt that perhaps the onion on bhuna was a bit over cooked, but that had to happen due to preheating. So far the mutton bhuna pretty awesome.

Next up came the chicken achari kathi. Yest again delighted to see no useless oil spread on the kathi making my experience enjoyable. The achari kathi had very subtle punch of achar like you Makena home and very mild punch of lemony tang. Could have been more intense but that my opinion. Other than that the roll tasted soft and fantastic.

The chutney however dissappointed me coz of strong salt in it. Dipping in kathi only crippled the kathi experience. Management needs to work on that. Also kathin is usually served with lemon as well. Also the kathi could have been more spicy usually how kathi is. The taste was a bit to mild and lacked a bit of intensity for me to remember.

Over all for two rolls and a diet coke it costed me 300 which is not cheap. But then it was justified buy the quality they serve you here. I fail to realise why this place has such low rating. May b in my case I got lucky. Will keep and eye.

Visit this place for some sumptuous, hygienic and well made kathi that you can get and also for the real invite with the quality.

Formerly known as Turbon Tikka..

Received half cooked poulty .. when asked about the freshness person replied " we have to make them prior and then we microwave it while serving". Fact: Kebabs are made in tandoor not in microwave..
if we want to have microwaved food why would we come to restaurants making dear hole in pocket ..
Biryani was of decent taste .. ( thats why rating 2.5/5)
No ambience as such just few tables at base of building in Baner ..

These guys were the reason why i never ordered from faasos till 2013. Then they changed their name from kathi krossing , shifted their location, increased their prices(i blame the inflation not them)and somehow the food quality deteriorated. The food doesn't seem fresh anymore.
However the chicken tikka is one of the best rolls iv ever had. Other recommendations would be chilly chicken .For non spicy butter chicken.

Unquestionably the finest rolls in all of Pune. I'll give you 4 reasons why!

1. It offers "aaTaa" (wheat) rolls instead of only the (less healthy) "maida" (refined white flour) ones!
2. They've got a wide range from mutton to chicken to fish. (Maybe the do veg. rolls too but I've never tried one.) I can't confirm this but they probably the widest range of rolls in Pune. I haven't seen an outlet with these many options. At least none that offers you this kind of taste!
3. One mutton roll (qeema or bhuna gosht) is filling enough to keep hunger at bay 5 hours. You don't feel hungry till 7PM after you've had one of these.

4. It's less expensive than most restaurants whose food won't keep you full for that long.

I've lunched at and loved this Baner outlet ever since it was called Kathi Crossing and 5 years later it still maintains the taste and range.

It truly is worth every buck and is one of my favourite quick lunch options.

Thie is One of the new food joints on baner road.
Tried few weeks ago when we were walking on baner road to find suitable place for lunch.
Nice sitting arrangement and gives a feel of US style food joint.
Very limited menu. Biryani only available in party pack and that too needs to be ordered well in advance.
We ordered veg rolls with extra cheese and found those good.
It is next to rolls mania and we decided to try that next time to compare quality.

This place in Baner is very close to my college, so its like my last resort for a quick bite. Its rolls are ok ok.. niether too good nor bad. But way less tasty when u compare to other rolls that I have had. Also the biryani and other starters are fairly simple. The only saving grace is its price range. The main issue that i have is that there are only aerated cans available (super costly) and not regular pet bottles.. and nothing Punjabi in it.. if u were hoping something related it Turban.. not even a lassi!!

Sometimes one should try to evaluate what goes wrong. This joint Turban Tikka which is next to KFC baner serves kathi rolls and kebabs. Well most of us prefer rolls and we read more neg. comments about this outlet. So what goes wrong.

The ambience is decent, few tables outside. You will never encounter a rush at this joint. Always finds empty seats. Hardly one or two customers at a time.

Its neat the preparation, they take time to prepare and you will find it effective when you have that first bite. One very positive thing you'll find is free drinking water available to those who don't prefer sugary drinks. Which is appreciable since most joint try to figure out how to sell cola to their customers,

When it comes to the kathi roll they mix green mint chutney with your bite which is a letdown. The taste doesn't match and the rolls are small but thick enough to give a good grip,

You will find +₹20 extra on each rolls comparing the price of eatsome/rollsmania/fassos. May be that's one reason people prefer those chains over Turban Tikka.
Turban tikka ??? Wat is dese place ??? Is it good ??? Dat was exact question in ma mind wen i visited dese place arnd 3 days bck with ma buddies Sunny Gupta @ vishwajeet .We were in a search of Kathi crossing a joint were we use to have rolls long time bck , which besides LG showroon in baner which was one of our fav joints to have mouth watering spicy kathi rolls .But v never found dt place for last 8 months , but we gave one more try on thursday and in middle of our search we found dese place TURBAN tikka which was similar looking to our dream place KC .So we decided finally go inside and taste it .So space is not xtremelly huge quite a compact space with 4 tables . We had a Green paneer roll , Chicken achari , Butter paneer roll & Egg burji roll . Vishwajeet had chicken achari and he repeated order again saying it was awesone .Coming 2 wat i had i had green paneer roll which was extremlly well made and spicy exactlly d way i lyk and i ordered a butter paneer which was also quite good .., but not as good green paneer & egg roll was also qiite tasty So overall d taste was quite good on d line of Kathi crossing .But is it better den KC ??? Dat question will answered only by tym .Dere r many more visits to come . :) So i dnt want to answer it so Quickly .

Things ordered -

Butter Chicken Roll

Good, not very oily, not very filling if you're a voracious eater like me.
Filling a bit cold. Taste, good. One of my favourite butter chicken rolls.

Nimbu Chicken Tikka

Good. A variation of the tried and tested Chicken Tikka.

First off, I'd like to say that this place seems like it has a lot of potential.
If they work a bit more on their customer service, this would become a place I'd go out of my way to visit, which is uncommon for the rolls-rice joints.

The customer service makes it not very memorable. Im not saying its bad, but its not good either. It's OK. Which is another word for forgettable. Visit this place for an evening snack or dinner. I'd recommend take away too. Go during the day only if it's overcast.
There's open air dining ( tables and chairs ) facing the highway which is quite cool.
I'd wouldn't be wrong in calling it a slightly upmarket Faasos ( after the menu revamp )

To end I'd like to say that this place as a good price-ambiance-quality-quantity mix and could become a go-to place if the experience was more memorable.

I went to this place based on the reviews and also it is next to my place of work for lunch a couple of days ago. Tried the chicken tikka wrap. It was decent. When you name an outlet as funky as 'Turban Tikka', you generally approach it with certain perceptions. Just like the one I had where I thought I'd be greeted by a full blown Sikh gentlemen, speaking Hindi in a thick Punjabi accent and biting into couple of tikka kebabs himself.

Alas! No such thing happened.

I did see a read a couple of reviews about the place and learnt about their specialities being #Rolls, #Kebabs and #Biryanis. (All 3 hash-taged in their advertising board to highlight distinctiveness)

I settled for an Egg Bhurji Wheat Wrap, considering it was a Sunday night and I need to stay light and get up early the very next day.

For a change, the wrap wasn't oily, had perfect salt-to-taste and consisted of the right blend of sauces.

Couple of people ahead of me, had ordered the seekh kebabs and they did look succulent to me. Another sought out item here is the Mutton Bhuna Wrap (not for the light hearted!)

Some dishes to reckon are;

1. Paneer Parda (Cottage cheese skewers)
2. Nimbu Chicken (Chicken with a twist of lemon)
3. Kheema Achari Wrap (pretty good!)
4. Chilly Chicken Wrap (China in a wrap, no pun intended!)
5. Paneer Tikka (Cottage cheese spicy delight)
6. Bhuna Mutton (Lamb pieces loaded with spices)
7. Chicken Biryani (No prizes for guessing it right!)
8. Chicken Hariyali Tikka (Chicken pieces with green chutney and hot chillies)

Something that caught my eye was the Chicken/Mutton Kheema Party Pack; for lovers of Kheema (minced meat) and Pav (Indian short breads).

All in all, my experience was decent and I feel the outlet at Baner, could use some sprucing up in terms of marketing and customer service.

Well, a little more courteousness would help at a self-service counter!

Visit 'Turban Tikka' for quick bites, late lunches and lazy dinners. Cheers!

They have tikka in their name but when we went there at lunch time, they had only rolls. Anyway we tried different rolls of paneer, chicken, mutton, fish and found only mutton rolls to be good. They have seating arrangement adjacent to footpath in open. They are very expensive if we take their quality and quantity in account.

We ended up going for lunch as it seemed like a decent setting. Ordered chicken biryani - was ordinary, good quantity to share amongst 3 people, but chicken was really undercooked, unchewable and the curd mixture (raita) wasn't fresh. We had to return the chicken as it was. We informed the service about this but they seemed pretty clueless about offering some alternative, service can be improved. The money was gone so was the chicken from our table, but we were obviously still hungry. It was too hot to walk away, so at this point we stayed safe and decided to try the veg rolls. We had the Spinach cheese and corn spinach rolls, they were good. Rolls are comparatively better, opt for veg.

An exclusive place for rolls earlier, they have even started Biryanis and munchies. Paneer tikka roll is my favorite, with mushroom one coming close at second. All the rolls are above average here, with only Biryani being an ultimate disappointment. Went to this place just out of greed while visiting the cosmetic shop next door. Ordered a chicken lasooni wrap and coca cola. Thankfully, the second was the only thing worth it! Chicken was an aged chicken, scarce lasoon / garlic, with very basic taste. The near portion was good. Faasos wins any time!

I was always curious about this little joint which is walking distance from my house. I had received their menu card in my letter box couple of times already. Initially found their prices to be little on higher side than other good options like fassos and farmer choice. But when tried this last week, couldn't complain about prices as the food we ordered was awesome. Wraps were the winners, anytime better than fassos. Delivery is a problem as they kept me waiting for 15mins even though I had ordered 40mins prior to visiting this joint. 0.5 ranking goes down because of this otherwise 4 ranking joint :)

Gave this place a try as I was out on work and I was not too keen on going to KFC, zeroed in to this place because the name seemed right. It ended there. I ordered for a Mutton Bhuna Roll that had so much masala in it. I barely got two mini sized mutton pieces in it. When I mentioned that to the manager, he seemed offended that I didn't get mutton pieces and went on to tell me that I was mistaken. Was I the one eating it or him is something I could not figure out! Not in my to-visit again list for sure!

Gave this place a try today afternoon as I was returning from the highway.
Ordered for two rolls ( one paneer tikka and one mutton bhoona)
They were perfectly cooked and the ingredients used were fresh, but the size was nothing compared to what they charged. This meant I had to order a veg biryani. (₹170) which was really missing a lot of flavour. The rice cooked was certainly stale and vegetables were measly.
A lot needs to be done to keep this place Alive otherwise it won't see the next monsoons.

Ps- tiny tables are always swarming with flies.

I went to this place in expectation of some delicious chicken and biryani, and I must say that I was really disappointed with the taste, and quality of the food. The chicken tikka I had was like a boneless chicken dish with gravy with a just smoky flavour. Chicken biryani was terribly horrible and I don't think I should be describing it here. 2.5 rating is because they gave me hot food but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to this place again.

We had ordered a chicken biryani take away.. Had it after reaching home (not more than 15mins after collecting it). Rice was hot but the chicken was cold. Moreover the onion salad given with it was spoilt and was giving bad smell. Please take care of such things as 250 for one plate of biryani is not a small amount and we expect such outlets to do better than roadside biryani stall.

I usually end up going to this place when I want to have something light. They have variety of rolls on offer. The rolls are fresh and taste is decent, meat is fresh too. They also serve biryani but I haven't tried that as yet. This place of close to Jalebi junction - so you can try the best of both veg and non-veg by visiting this place. Btw - they also do home delivery.
However in one of the instance of home delivery, they did serve stale rice in the biryani. It smelt aweful and we had to throw it off completely. Review No: 128

I had book marked this place post reviewing the earlier experience by fellow foodie and Zomato user Gunjan Bhasin. The taste did not disappoint. Ordered a Paneer Tikka Roll.

How was the food? The stuffing, masala and veggies were apt. I felt the salt was less per my liking but it’s not a big negative. The overall meal is filling.

The place is just done up brand new. The seating arrangements are available right outside (I believe 6 tables). The kitchen area and serving area are clean. Service is prompt.

Their non-veg fare looked yummy but I'll keep that for another day when I've started eating Non-veg again :)

This place is at a walkable distance from Jalebi Junction and diagonally opposite to DMart in Baner. Turban Tikka is here... ;-)

This outlet of Turban Tikka is recently started and earlier known as Kathi Crossing is situated next to KFC Baner outlet.

It was Friday night and me and my colleagues decided to have a small party at one of the colleague's flat. Arranging food for delivery was my responsibility. I ordered starters from another restaurant (as I was not aware Turban Tikka have started with biryani and starters).

Ordered Veg Kheema, Potato Masala, Butter Panner Wrap's in Wheat Roti.

I personally had Veg kheema and it was bit spicy but tasted pretty well. Even potato n panner wraps were also good.

Wrap's were well packed and delivered with in 30 mins.

Suggestion to the management : Kindly upload new menu on Zomato as Kebabs, biryani and drinks are newly added items in it.

Overall a good experience.

Try it.. All I can say is wraps are better then Eatsome and Fasoos.

Taste : 4/5
Service : 4/5
Ambience : 3/5 (Have seen the outlet as it is right in front of my office)
VFM : 4/5

Average price for 2 : 200-300
Turban Tikka, the new restaurant started serving rolls on Baner Road. Earlier it used to be know as 'The Kathi Crossing'. They have changed the name and also the place of their restaurant.

Outlet is very new and clean. Their sauces makes taste awesome. But felt they serve little oily stuff. But you can always ask for less oily rolls.

Overall
Food : nice food, but quantity is less.

Service : Pretty quick

Staff : Clean and polite

Ambience : Only outdoor sitting. All tables are for two. No provision for groups of 3 and above.

Value for money : worth trying for a change.

Good place to have Kathi rolls.
