Delicious and Lip Smacking Every dish here is unique and tasty. Service is Excellent. Highly Recommended to all. They serve only vegetarian foods. They have Punjabi and Chinese as well. Desserts are also available. Seating arrangement is in basement and sometimes laid outside also.

A nice little place near Gangadham for vegetarian North Indian food. We dropped in on a weekend afternoon, yet it was fairly empty. The street-level sitting was closed, so we were directed downstairs in the AC section, where only 1 table was occupied. We ordered Palak Soup, Sarson ka Saag and Makke di Roti, and finished it with Butternilk and Pomegranate Juice. The Palak Soup was nothing great really, it was loaded with chilli, that hit terribly at the back of the throat with every sip. The Sarson ka Saag and Makke di Roti were absolute show-stealers. The Saag was well-cooked and perfectly spiced, while Roti, although a tad too thick, was yummy. We tried both variations - plain and masala, and although I personally like Masala Makka Roti more than the plain one, there are really no complaints here. The Buttermilk and Pomegranate Juice were extremely passable. I had to settle for Pomegranate Juice since they did not have any other juice and Lassi would have been too heavy after the meal. It seemed like they had mixed Pomegranate Juice with a base of Pineapple of Lime Juice to balance it out. All in all, a decent place that I might go back to if I am in the area.

Gum hai kisi ke pyaar mein, dil subah shyam.. This was the song playing when I visited this place recently for a dinner with my husband. Overall I liked the atmosphere. It was very hot outside and so we choose to sit in the AC hall. Which was small with 6-7 tables but was still good. The interior was nice and fresh. The staff was good and food was good too. I tried kashmiri daal fry and jeera rice as didn't want eat too much that day. I have been here in the past too. Their lassi was good and overall they have maintained the tastes well.

They have not changed despite of covid infact they have consistent taste from college days. Panner Ghungroo and cheese chilly naan is worth a try. They have decent quantity of food. Their pickle is great too you can purchase it as well(do confirm and check you got what you ordered) every-time its great to have food from here.

Dev uncle has revamped its kitchen and sits right opposite Gangadham, also famously known as chowpatty. This area is dominated by the Marwadi clan which goes without saying, you're more likely to find only Vegetarian options. Despite being an anti Vegetarian, this place is highly likely to make you think twice! I tried a variety of North Indian dishes: STARTERS • Veg Manchurian • Noodle Soup • Veg Crunchy • Veg Lollipop • Burnt Garlic Paneer • Honey Chilli Potato -the paneer used is of top notch quality, the Burnt Garlic Paneer is recommended. Main Course •Paneer Pineapple •Dal Tadka •Veg Lazeez •Dal Makhni •Jeera Rice -excellent presentation of the dishes, the twist of Paneer Pineapple was quite appealing and tasted quite good too. Desserts •Jamun Shots •Paan Ice-Cream -Huge fan of Paan ice cream, this was a total crowd winner! Their Jamun shots are highly recommended, so smooth on the palate!

Visited this place last week. I really liked how its different from normal Punjabi places. There are many unique dishes and wide range of options. I would definitely love to keep visiting and trying new dishes every time. What all I had? - 1) Manchow soup - Just wow. It was that manchow soup I crave for when Im in mood to eat chinese. Noodle soup- It was basically creamy soup containing boiled noodles 2)Paneer Burnt Garlic- Favourite Starter. I’ll really really go to eat it again. 3) Paneer Sate- Normal Paneer Starter. 4) Veg Crunchy- Didn’t Really look like veg crunchy but taste was perfect. 5) Veg Lolipop- Not my personal favourite. 6) Veg Coriander- It was basically with coriander coating. Lil hard to break but tasted nice. 7) Potato Chili Dry- It was basically like honey chilli potato. Amazing. Paneer Glory Veg Lazeez Paneer Pineapple. - Paneer sabji served in a pineapple with a tinge of pineapple taste. Dal Makhni- Yumm.

I had visited the place with an intension to taste and review their updated menu and style of cooking. It was a great experience and certainly a improvement from yesteryear. Watermelon Juice (1.0) - It was a fresh watermelon juice served with a healthy count of watermelon pieces. I would have preferred some mint or chaat masala or black salt to compliment the juice and bring out a better taste of it. Also, it was served it with a paper straw which possibly means that the place wants you to have the juice quickly and that they did not think of how would one enjoy the pieces of the watermelon. This was a way below par for me. Veg cocktail Soup (2.5) - A fix of multiple veggies with tomato at its centre the soup could leave one guessing as to what exactly are they served with. There some well chopped carrots and beans which compliment the taste well. Although the soup had a good taste it would not be something I would order twice especially when they have better options available. Veg Noodles Soup (4.5) - A typical Indian Chinese based soup served with bowled noodles has a great taste and would be a great choice during the cold nights. It has a great base of vinegar and soya along with spring onions. I believe they could have served some hot sauce as an optional add-on to make this a complete product. Paneer Butter Garlic (3.5) - This is a great example of not so great looking food served with a great taste. Soft paneer rolled in flour, fried, and wrapped in shallow butter tossed garlic can be considered as a good variant of the traditional paneer chili. There were two things that can be worked on for this dish: 1. It should be served in fine chopped garlic instead of the chunks. I had one entire piece on the paneer served to me. 2. I think garlic should be medium fried (as a personal choice) where the flavour is reduced but the essence is retained. But this would be great pick for starters. Papad Kabab Roll (3.5) - Innovative and an effort to serve something new in the menu. This does play the perfect role of the fancy dish in a buffet. Although I think the chef is relaying heavily on the paneer with some cheese filling to do the trick. This dish alone on a standalone basis leaves a void in the taste due to missing garnishing and cooking of the stuffing. But this is very well covered up by the out of the world dip of coriander, coconut, and chill dip served. This was truly on of the best dips and can be enjoyed with the main course too Veg Coriander (5.0) - If I were asked to end the meal on one particular dish, then this would be that one dish. Rethinking of the age old Hara Bhara Kebab with a more juicer, a more greener, and a definitely more tastier version is what this dish is. It is a complete dish which does not require any add-ons or improvements. Corn Chilli Dry (5.0) - I think corn is one of those innocent looking item which can be experimented with a lot and a lot of those experiment would turn into a great this. The chef has not just created a red hot dish with corn but ensured that this would be a show stopper in all rights. Served with some tomatoes and chillis, I believe this is another starter which gives a sense of satisfaction with the flavor it leaves on the tongue. Although I wonder why would this dish be served with schezwan dip. Paneer Tikka Watermelon (4.0) - Strolling to the curry, Paneer Tikka Watermelon is a sweeter variant of Paneer Tikka with lesser of the core spices (which gives the tikka flavor). Watermelon is relevant to the extent of casing used to serve the curry and not defining it's taste. There is a nice soothing taste which this dish has. One thing missed out was the garnishing of the dish. I believe garnishing serves the mental flavor pellet for me. Veg Coconut Malai (4.0) - A green and creamy dish served in a coconut shell has a very soothing and simple taste to it. This veggie would be something I may order for only in a situation where I can order two veggies and this one would always complement the other very well. The good part of this dish is that it does not have a dominant taste which makes it something I can have more and more of without having a tilted taste bud. I think they could have worked a bit on using Coconut to give a taste pellet instead of just a serving bowl. Reshmi Kofta (4.5) - A great red curry based dish tilted towards the spicier side. The spice is soothing and not burning which is a big plus. It shows that the chef has used various complementing spices over packed garam masala. The koftas are incredibly soft and well soaked in the curry. I think some garnishing would be like like cheery to the cake (hope you like cherries). Overall a definite order on the next visit. Daal Tadka (5.0) - Wow! Just wow! Thick, full of proteins, full of taste, full of our ghee. I would recommend to ensure that this item is definitely on your to order list whenever you choose to have the Indian meal at this pl The place is small but very spacious which is great. The serve is good. Be careful of the semi spiral stairs to the sitting area. Personally I have never liked them. Overall a great place to enjoy a superb meal.

So Dev Uncles kitchen is one of my childhood favourites but the place never fails to disappoint Tried d food here it has an amazing twist than the normal restaurants... The typical North Indian dishes are available but there far many dishes that are not found in other menus., A definite highlight will be the amazing starters. Really unique and authentic taste for the starters. To prceed paneer tikka watermelon was something that was unexpected. Really taste with a perfect garnishing... A good ambience for the basement seating. The dips were flawless with the perfect flavours. Do try the papad karan roll, Amazing taste and for the first time I had papad in such a unique starter other than masala papad. All in all a wonderful place for ur next family dinner. Went to this place 14th June again (given past experience). Unfortunately, this time we are disappointed. I will be very specific with what went wrong: 1. Service: There was no water to wash hands, and the waiter did not provide ginger bowl. ☹️ 2. Food quality: One of the vegetable we have been insisted to order (by waiter) was not upto the mark. Very bland in taste. 3. Rate: We were 4 adult and 1 kid. The bill was 1200+..... which was surprising. We just saw the price of vegetable, and added paratha and papad at the end. We thought the rate should be ok. A papad at rs.65 doesn’t make sense at all.

I never thought about the horizon of dishes vegetarians must be eating, being a Hard core non-vegetarian myself. I have tried some good combination of dishes here and enjoyed my time. The seating is in the basement, completely air conditioned. Comfortable seating, can accomodate around 30-35 people. Positives: Newer varieties in the menu, good quantity, more options in appetizers and mains (other than the usual paneer dishes), Delicious Indian breads, comfortable seating. Recommended for: Family outings for vegetarians. Some must haves: 1) Papad Kebab roll: Cylindrical roasted papad (somewhat resembling nachos) with ample stuffings. Pure bliss!! 2) Corn Chilly dry: Corn fried in batter and cooked in spicy masalas. Nice fulfilling appetizer. 3) Veg Coriander: Crispy dark green cutlets, garnished with coriander. 4) Paneer Tikka Watermelon: Paneer in red gravy, served in a shell of watermelon. The dish is spicy, with a tinge of sweetness of watermelon. 5) Punjabi Dal Tadka: Classic dish, but cooked and served well. 6) Mixed Basket roti: Different varieties of Rotis, various interesting flavours and colours. 7) Paan Kulfi: Small cut pieces of pan flavoured kulfi, with milky texture of Kulfi and almost the exact taste of Meetha paan.

First of all the customer serivce is not at all good. The restaurant lacks basic amenities like their is no back up when lights are out not, not even in kitchen. If you are having food and the light goes will have to eat in dark..Also please take cash with yourselve because if the light goes out and you are thinking to pay by card that is also not available.(as per calender this is 2019, digitialzation is at boom). My sister urged me go here and try the food but i will neither recommend anyone nor will advise. I didnt even had my food just left like that

Honestly, this used to be my most favorite restaurant since childhood and be it any occasion, we used to always go here for their Paneer Ghumgroo. Dev Uncle used to greet us and always used to give me that white mouth fresher packed in a polybag when I used to leave. He knew how I loved it. I really missed him whenever I visited this place after he passed away. I thought of revisiting those memories today on my brother's birthday but how I regret my decision. The service - PATHETIC. ABSOLUTELY WORST! The waiters are just not bothered about the customers. No one came to serve water thoughout our visit. We honestly had to bang the tables to call the waiters, they still didn't come. I had to leave my seat and go upstairs to call someone and all the waiters were standing in a group and gossiping! Coming to the food part - they have degraded. Degraded big time! The food was not good at all. The juice was WARM. Like come on! How can you go so wrong with Mausambi juice All I know is that I'm never coming to this restaurant again ever!

Note- The restaurant has a small seating area outside and a larger area down in the basement. We sat outside. The first impression of the place as soon as you sit and wait for the menu is that the service is pathetic. If you do get a menu card quickly and try to enquire about the dishes it seems like your server is least interested in telling you about them and doesn't care what you order. With some time spent in contemplating we finally ordered: Paneer Lazeez: Okayish at best. Nothing special about it. Dal Makhni: The Dal Makhni here is very famous. The texture was perfect but personally it was a bit spicier than expected and the subtle flavour of sweet creaminess was lacking according to me. But still a better option than the paneer lazeez. Jeera Rice: Amazing. Ghee fried Jeera rice was just perfect. Overall: It's a decent enough place for a random quick lunch or dinner but they really need to work on their service.

One of the best place for Authentic Punjabi vegetarian food. Visited the place several times and they had never disappointed for food. The food is really amazing and very very authentic. Went there to eat paratha & pav bhaji. Pav bhaji was decent. Had a cheese onion paratha which was not bad but was served as is. Also requested him to add garlic in my paratha which they did. No curd. Also was expecting a nice dollop of butter on top which was not there, although I must say that they applied butter on it after cooking. We also ordered the lasoon chatni in butter, which was nice. Personally I feel it would taste yumm by adding small tender pieces of mutton inside. Of course, that is something to try at home, as they only serve vegetarian food.

Had my Sunday dinner here, It's a very good place to enjoy food with family and friends. We have ordered paneer chilli and Masala papad from starters. Paneer chilli was yum but masala papad didn't reach to our expectations. Service here is very poor. From main course we have ordered paneer ghunghroo, It's really amazing. It comes in a tangy and spicy flavour. We also had lucknow biryani which is the best among all these. Overall food was very good but as i said their service is poor.

We ordered food from here after hearing a lot of good things about its Punjabi food. My experience though was hit and miss. The Rajasthani Kofta was great but Punjabi paneer was just ok. The dal makhani was good, but I have had better one else where. The garlic naan was overloaded with garlic to the extent that some of it had to be removed. The naan was also chewy, but that could be excused, since home delivery takes time and naan is best had when fresh off the tandoor. Overall, I would say, it's good, but I have had better Punjabi/mughalai food.

I have visited this place yesterday and it was a waiting for 15 mins and after that i have been provided the table. When i entered into the restaurant downstairs, the staff is totally miss behaving and he was not allocating the table and making us stand there for almost 10 minutes. Even they were too slow to took the order and some of the items were missing in the order and while we remind him, he told yes its coming but that item did not came even the bill came. I dont have any complaint for the food. Food is tasty and i always used to order from this restaurant but 1st time i have visited this place and also found that other customers were also facing the same issue. You guys must be work on your management.

If you want to eat the Punjabi food in a reasonable price then this is the right place to visit without wasting your time in making decision. I visited this place quite a long back. We Ordered Dal Makhani, Roti, Cream of tomato soup and Lime soda. I loved the typical taste of Dal Makhani and Tomato Soup was perfect at it. Overall Rating: 3.5 Ambience: 3 Food: 3.5 Service: 3 Cheers.!

Dev Uncle’s Kitchen I have been visiting this place since when it was located in sadhu vasvani chowk. I guess it is the best Punjabi food available in the town. The taste is unbeatable. Paneer Amritsari is simply something to die for. I have a few suggestions : Please try to groom the staff in serving the food properly. Try to give them fresh and clean costumes and hire waiters who are clean. And please try to serve food in clean cutlery. The 4 star rating given by my is just for the food n food.

This was the first restaurant where I used the Zomato Gold subscription and the experience was seamless. The man behind the counter was kind enough to briefly explain how it works as well. Also, there was no apprehension from his side about this scheme. We ordered two Pav Bhajis and it was OK. As the hunger pangs had not kicked in we were pretty full with that but would want to try their Punjabi cuisine which seems to be their USP. Although the pav bhaji was reasonably priced the Gold subscription made it double bang for the buck.

The Dev Uncle's Special section is what you can eye for while ordering the vegetables. Paneer Darbari my personal favorite. One of the oldest food joint here, also one of the most well known for its Punjabi cuisines, visited today after family outing, but it ended it disappointment. It has underground sitting arrangements, ambiance is ok sort, as it was afternoon time did not struggle to get place for eating. For starters we tried Masala Papad, found it unique as it was roasted but taste was not that bad, second on starters list was Paneer Chilli Dry, Chinese dish was bit salty and taste was overruled by garlic, for soup we had Manchow soup, was bit spicy taste was ok but again garlic taste was superimposed, like garlic was the ingredient of the day Main course we tried signature Dev Uncle's Kitchen's dish Paneer Darbar, was ok in taste had lot of cheese and butter, nans and kulchas were good. Dal that was recommended by attendant Punjabi Dal Tadka, that never arrived, only when I enquired waiter told dal was finished can he serve Dal Makhni instead, it was sloppy experience. Even though place was not as crowded service was slower, even the wash basin was not clean, it was one of disappointing experience

Lovely place have been going. Here since Uncle was alive and had its first hotel under this name at Nucleus mall. The sarso da saag is my dad favorite mine is Paneer Ghungroo. Now this is a place with a peculiar taste that brings u back to this joint consistency has been their key strengths. Not very healthy I'm sure and cleanliness is almost 3 on 5 but the food is outstanding no complaints and the staff is sweet too. A simple place that has its very own legacy. I have gone here with family always as my dad loves the fat ghee fried food here but don't count calories when ur here indulge in the beauty of yummy food.

Located right in the middle of a happening street, opposite Gangadham, Dev Uncle's Kitchen is one of the best places in Pune which serves authentic North Indian food. This place is easy to find owing to its big sign board. They have indoor seating which is well lit with decent interiors as well as outdoor seating which has a couple of chairs and tables placed facing the road which gives a nice view to the patrons. The staff is friendly but the service is sluggish. So here's what i tried, 1. Cheese Masala Papad: A normal sized regular masala papad garnished with chopped onions, tomatoes and Comforting cheese. 2. Corn Chili Dry: Savory corn fried with diced onions and capsicum resembling the flavor of Chinese cuisine. 3. Jamun Shots: One of a kind saporous drink to shock your tastebuds. Ambrosial! A must try. 4. Paneer Butter Garlic: Succulent paneer cubes served dipped in supernumerary greasy butter.Disillusioned! #Avoid 5. Paneer chingari: This unique dish with perfect flavors absorbed by the Tantalising paneer blended in scrumptious gravy explains why people prefer this restaurant when it comes to love for Punjabi cuisine. With over 400 varieties of sabzis, 55 varieties of paranthas, naan, roti and 150 varieties of juices Dev Uncle's Kitchen presents a wide range of variety to choose from and satiate your hunger. Mr. Amit Mehta (owner) approached me for a tasting to which i agreed immediately. So here's what all i tried, 1. Corn Chilly Dry - I love corn. Give it to in any form and i'll eat it happily. This one was decent and it wasn't spicy at all. #Recommended 2. Paneer Butter Garlic - Well, what do I say about it? It was extremely greasy. I mean I wasn't able to eat it, it was that greasy. It's good to add butter to your meal but excessive butter or for that matter any ingredient kills the entire dish. Thus I'd give this a miss. 3. Cheese Masala Papad - The regular masala papad with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander and cheese but the only thing missing was sev. A little bit of sev to it will make a huge difference. I mean I like my masala papad to be that way. 4. Jamun Shots - Their jamun shots are out of this world. #HighlyRecommended. 5. Watermelon and Mosambi Juice - Both the juices were good. 6. Paneer Chingari with Butter Naan - Probably the best Paneer dish i've had till date. The flavors were so could and so was the presentation. 7. Pav Bhaji - Pav Bhaji is love ❤ When I read pav bhaji on the menu I do my happy dance. Their pav bhaji is decent. 8. Sitaphal Crunch - Kind of milkshake. The base shake was good but the chocolate kernels on top spoilt it all for us because it wasn't crunchy and secondly it wasn't going well with the shake. This place we Havnt heard about much but we Visited as our friend wanted to. It was very far from aundh and we were the Last one to reach there. We ordered Kashmiri Naan, Masala khicdi And Dal Makani. Out of all Masala khichdi was awsome - 5/5 ( perfect taste, spice and quantity for two people and yes they add green chillies, must recommended for chilly lovers) Kashmiri naan i had for the first time I like its Colour - 4/5 ( it has very unique and eye catchy color, you will feel to try once ) Combination of kashmiri naan & Dal makani was Delicious. This place's food has given me Authetic taste of food which i was craving from a long time

I have visited this place with my friend after viewing good rating on Zomato, but my experience was not good. Food: 1. I have asked waiter for spicy paneer dish and he suggested "Paneer Chingari", but it was very sweet. 2. Butter-Naan was like a papad. 3. Quantity was very less. 4. Food was blend. Truly tasteless. Services : 1. Pathetic SERVICE, A. C. was switched off when I asked waiter to switch on the AC he ignored. Then I called manager then he replied that water is leaking from AC. 2. Service was very slow. Cold food is served. 3. Even finger ball was not served, and when I asked waiter this time again he simply ignored. This is my worst experience in pune for VEG-Food. I'll never visit this place again.

Soups are not even worth a try, service was slow, wash basin was not operational, water leakage from AC are some of the key highlights. Overall not a very good experience. This is one of typical family restaurants. We are will start with ambience which is decent enough. I had ordered masala papad and manchirian for starters. Masala papad was very bad in taste and not good at all. Manchurian was very good and extremely tasty. Then for main main course I ordered paneer ghungroo and veg shabnam. Both were just ok and average in taste. Finally I got jeera rice and dal tadka. Dal was good. Service is extremely slow and waiters bit arrogant. Need to immensely work on service which is extremely slow. Quality of food is good but taste not that great. Beware they charge 5.1% extra as service tax charge which is not fair considering their very poor service. Overall I will give it 2.5 ratings.

Dev Uncle Kitchen, easily one my favorites when it comes to pure veg. Punjabi food. Located near Goel Ganga and very easy to find with a big board and all. You will find plenty of parking space on both sides of the street. I have been visiting this place since long time now (mostly with my pure veg. family) and I don't even recall a single indecent when I am disappointed. Ambiance: The sitting arrangement they made is downstairs in basement and outdoor (in the evening only). The bright lighting and the big chairs make you feel comfortable and you won't feel like you are sitting in the basement. The interiors are descent, not too classy but still good enough to take your family for a nice lunch/dinner. Outside sitting is not preferred at all as it's like few chairs on the big footpath and street is crowdy and noisy. Service: The staff is polite and friendly and the service is quick enough if you are visiting for dinner. They took almost twice the time during lunch compared to the dinner. Food: Simply brilliant when it comes to the taste of the Punjabi gravies. I have experienced in many restaurants, there are only 2-3 types of gravies and they just serve with different ingredient. But in here, they will serve you different gravies for each dish which makes this place good for people like me who prefer variety in their food. They have few signature dishes like Paneer Gungroo, Paneer Rogan, Veg. Nirali, Veg. Junglee. Do try these you will not regret. Any paneer dish is good as the paneer feels fresh, nicely cooked and soft. The aroma is simply perfect. I would say they know how to cook their Paneer. This place deserves 4 stars but only reason to give 3.5 is the EXCESSIVE USE OF OIL in every single gravy dish. Whenever I take parcel, I have to spend 5 minutes just to take out the oil from the surface. If management is listening to this, please try to use less oil in your food. Overall, must visit place for a veg. foodie just to try the authentic spicy Punjabi food.

This place is very nice and peacefull very good for family ..they provide only vegetarian food and very tasty One guy Riyasat Ali Khan from odisha he cooked very well

Dev uncle's kitchen is a pretty famous restaurant in this area because of the quality of food being served. Ordered the bun garlic, paneer hungama, veg rajwada and pav Bhaji. The bun garlic was something I had never eaten before and turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Paneer hungama and Rajwada were pretty good too. The service was a let down though. We were served the main course before we could finish our main course and the waiters were confused too. Overall a good place to go with your family.

Pricey place, man! 8 of us went to this place and ordered 2 paneer chilli, 2 spring rolls, 1 French fries, 2 paneer butter masalas, 1 dal makhni and butter rotis. Loved their Chinese starters! Main course is passable. But what shook me was the pricing. We sat on the boulevard and the ambience mix and the food don't demand what is asked for. Service is OK.

This dhabba is costly like hell in comparison to what it offers. . 4-5yrs back the taste and serving quality of this dhabba was expendable but now they have only added ambience and let go of the other things... They panner sabhjis taste weird.. It's somewhat sour like there's too much lemon in it

Ask for chaar thara ki roti...corn chilly dry....amazing food, u also tend to see a big list of paneer items....more than food, ur soul will be filled.

Sunday-14th August-afternoon, we enter the restaurant, find for a table away from noise( that was for 4 people), but there were no customers waiting, hence decided to occupy that table, captain walk in with command in his tone and asks us to occupy another table( meant for 2), I request him to allow us to sit as we wanted to be away from noise, he insists, we leave, I approach the person sitting at the billing counter and thank him for kicking us out, he asks what happened I say ask the captain, he summons the captain, the captain( A Perfect example of UNPROFESSIONAL person) says I REQUESTED them, contrary to his tone he never was polite in the first place. Well I looked at the person sitting at the billing counter, his face bore a look( I DONT CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CUSTOMERS...GET OUT). What a place.
