Great bartender and good food. Fun atmosphere and it often looks closed when you walk past. Which keeps the clientele of people who are "in the know" about this place at just the right size. It also has the best pool table in Providence and it's free. Just be courteous and follow normal rules of pool.

Good food (amazing burgers), good pool (free), good drinks maketh a great place. I love the dark lighting and the cozy seating. You have to be in the know to go to this place. It has a barely noticeable sign on the door and blacked out glass (I think) since you don't see much from outside.

Great 1920's speakeasy vibe with pool, classy decor, comfortable leather furniture to relax on with a beer in hand. Only thing to improve is it is dark inside. Not a lot of lighting to see by, but it does keep with the ambience, so can't complain too much about it

This was a rad place to get a drink in Federal Hill. Definitely has an old style feel to it. Can still buy cigs and smoke inside, so if you're not a smoker keep that in mind. We aren't, but it wasn't really that noticeable. The bartenders were fun and friendly!

Always super dark. Cheap, tasty bar food, pool table, booths, $2 Genesee cream ale on tap! You'll usually find more Westside locals than Atwells visitors. Bar opens at 4pm, kitchen opens at 6pm.

Great burgers..crinkle cut frys..and a fun prohibition style speakeasy theme. Crystal glasses..brown liquor drinks..no tv's dimley lit..old fashiond furnishings..free pool.

This is a great, cozy bar. Good selection of beers and mixed drinks, and their limited food menu is a cut above your typical bar.
