Amazing little historic public house, which just oozes history. Recently reopen under new management.

Nice vibe in this place. Rustic environment with plenty of comfortable seating indoors and outdoors.
Food was good but that was expected considering the price.

Very nice pub with ample parking outback. Jordan that delt with us was amazing he couldn't of been more accommodating as we had a 3 Yr old and a 4 week old. The burgers are amazing we will be back to sample a Sunday roast.

Hands down the best pub burger I have ever had. Staff lovely and free pint with the burger! Can't believe we have not been before but defo will return.

Stayed here for 2 nights as we where attending a family christening in the village. Our room was immaculately clean and well prepared. Breakfast was a continental style delivered on trays in the morning to our room. Excellent value for money. Just 1 small point a TV in the room would have been appreciated as the village after about 7.00 pm is very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Thursday live music at the @risboroughgeorgeanddragon is always fun and I really love seeing people enjoying themselves, singing along and dancing! So glad George and Dragon is doing something for the local community and I here there will be more events to come!
Food is tasty and they also have kids menu which is great! I can highly recommend this place for a family gathering!

We have been to George & Dragon a few times over the last couple of months. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very family friendly. We have tried everything on the menu - the burgers, the pies, the starters - it is all good quality food. And the new team (management and staff) are very friendly and committed. Hope they go from strength to strength.

I have visited this pub a couple of times since reopening and both times sat under the sheltered outside area. There are quite a few tables, so when busy there is a nice atmosphere filled with general chatter and music.
We only planned to have a couple of drinks after work one evening, but as we are new to the area we decided to order some small plates! We were happy to see a 3 for £10 offer on the menu with a great choice. We ordered the breaded calamari, sourdough & gravy and hallumi fries which were delicious! We talked about them/ craved them days later, hence our second visit! 😅
There is a variety of drinks however I would love if they offered more cider, in particular the fruity flavours or even cocktails!
I believe this pub has recently been taken over and inside has undergone a refurbishment so I look forward to dining there soon!
