Almost as good as Pollos Hermanos, actually it is better since it's in San Diego and not Albuquerque! Seriously, really good chicken here.

Read about the reviews and was dying to tryout on a rainy day. A tad disappointed. My soup did not come with any tortillas as I saw other patrons get their soups with tortillas. I’ve actually had better elsewhere. It was not bad.

My favorite restaurant in Poway. The soup is a favorite of course, but I also really like the salads and chicken breast plate with rice and beans. I get the salad with quinoa minus the cranberries with chipotle dressing instead of the raspberry. Don Pollo does not hold back with the salads either, unlike some restaurants (i.e. Victor’s) that will give you trace amount of veggies in a box full of lettuce. My salad was full of fresh veggies and meat. The salsa verde is also killer… just enough spice and a great flavor. The only thing that I have tried that I didn’t like were the chips. They were definitely different/weird and not my type lol, but I don’t come here to eat chips anyway, so no big deal.

Fish tacos were blend and chewy.
Enchilada plate... Nothing special. Shredded chicken didn't seem to be seasoned and was also chewy. They were also way over dosed with the enchilada sauce.
Beans were good.
Staff and service was good.

AMAZING FOOD!!!!!!!!! This is such an awesome company! They have catered multiple weddings and events of mine and my friends. They are extremely respectful, personable, professional and their food and service is excellent! Everyone I know raves about them!! Mario takes care of everything and takes care of every detail!! We even hired them for bar tending and Rosie did AWESOME!! Thank you so much Don Pollo!!!
