I bought a cinnamon coffee cake from them which happened to have two layers which is rare for that type of item. It was actually pretty good and we all enjoyed it.
I will likely return here in the future. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love the bread here. It is baked more than once daily and so fresh and delicious. My favorite are the desserts breads especially the pumpkin pie with chocolate chips.

Good, fresh bread. Better than any other load I've eaten since moving to the greater DC area almost 20 years ago. Good enough that I drive 30 minutes each way monthly to keep me in sandwiches.
Also, enough varieties of bread that there's sure to be one you'll like. My favorites are every variety of rye bread that they make and I like their baguettes better than any other I've ever eaten.
The selection changes from day to day, so check the website before you go. Also, they sometimes run out of items late in the day, which is to be expected from a bakery that only sells the freshest items.
4 stars instead of 5 because I feel like they aren't "trying as hard" as when they first opened; for example, there's a sign above the bread wall that lists their daily selection that I think is out if date. Also, the garlic cobblestone isn't as good as it used to be -- when Breadsmith first opened it was mind blowing.

Unadorned and unpretentious plain store front, but inside awaits you all the baked goods which are excellent old fashioned breads-The ones you can smell and taste the good quality wheat!!! Good and cheerful staffs!!

Great quality breads and desserts. When stopping in for some of their finer breads, make sure to try one of their cookies, brownies, or the cinnamon claw.

Very good bread. Their orange loaf and their sourdough is excellent. No service on Saturdays

I got a loaf of the Italian White and a loaf of the Russian Rye (similar to pumpernickel). Both were very delicious, especially the white, stays really fresh when frozen, and they sliced it nicely for me. Great place. Will return again for more bread.

I shop weekly at Breadsmith. Fresh, delicious bread and sweets. The shop is clean and the employees are friendly and polite. <br/>One of the best bakery in our area. I would recommend to everybody!👍🏻

Vanilla and Chocolate Chip Challah and 100% Whole Wheat!!!!. Started coming in July 2014...This bakery is fantastic. I have tried challah in so many different places and this is the closest that I find as good as in Israel! Best Challahs in the DMV hands down! I am now a weekly customer for their 100% Whole Wheat too. So fresh and soft. Service was excellent and very nice young lady and young gentlemen were both working and helped me with my order. Definitely worth the stop in Potomac.

Horrible Service, Bad Bread. The bread was rubbery in the inside. We planned on serving it to guests and we couldn't. We tried to return it and they would not allow it. They were inflexible. The place smelled and it was filthy.

Horrible service and moldy bread. I don't think their bread is fresh. I bought a coffee cake and it was moldy within hours. I complained to the cashier and she was rude and she said I should have eaten the bread right away. She blamed it on "new inexperienced people" just hired...very comforting! I think it's overpriced, not clean and not fresh. Will muchr anther buy from other local bakeries.

The bread is so delicious. It tastes unbelievable, especially that its preservative free too, very important to me. The owners are extremely nice, a nice husband and wife couple. I made a point to thank them for opening such a great healthy place up in the neighborhood. (Kosher too, you wouldn't believe it).

Breadsmith Potomac. It is wonderful to have a great bakery in the neighborhood. It is doubly wonderful that it is kosher. The staff is always friendly, the bread, and cakes are yummy.

Customer Service. Ciabotta sticks are good, the female owner was downright cruel to customers however.
