Nossa Familia Coffee

Came in on the train and had a layover. Asked the Amtrack person where I should grab coffee and they recommended here. Glad I listened to them because the coffee, vibes, and view were awesome. Sat here for a while chilling and enjoying the straight drip coffee, both light and dark brews. Highly recommend to people who enjoy the taste of a well roasted a flavorful bean. If you’re in town for a bit, stop by for some drip🤟🤟heard their other drinks were good too but didn’t have a chance to try before I was fully caffeinated.

Tried their Mocha and loved it. They balanced out chocolate and espresso well, the taste of espresso wasn’t lost in chocolate. They use locally sourced vegan chocolate Welcoming and cheerful staff. Will comeback next time to try their latte. I felt their extra hot is hot enough. They have limited indoor seating but on a sunny day patio seating is an option.

This is a fantastic little coffee shop in the Pearl District. We were in the area making other stops and I came in to get coffee and try the Brazilian cheese waffle. Yes, I said BRAZILIAN CHEESE WAFFLE. It is the greatest idea ever and is just as delicious as it sounds. Definitely stop in and get one!!

Living and working in the pearl comes with a unique set of issues, finding a good coffee shop however, is not one of them. Nossa Familia is an established Portland brand that makes great coffee, is down to earth, and promotes responsible farming practices. This little shop in the pearl reflects that pretty well. The staff is always humble and helpful, the little patio is great for a sunny afternoon, and again the coffee is delicious. Wouldn’t go out of my way for a visit, but is my preferred choice when in the area.

I have to say Nossa is probably one of my favorite roasters in Portland. They seem to really know all about coffee. Another thing that I really appreciate is that their coffee prices are very reasonable and are slightly below average but the taste is well above average. I got a spiced Mexican Mocha with Chile powder. It was amazing! The staff was very friendly and they seemed like they wanted to connect with there customers. I also appreciate this. This particular location is not suited to work on a laptop and work. It is more of a location to get a coffee and either drink it outside or on their small bar. I would assume that this would be an amazing cafe to visit in the summer months.
