We just discovered this little gem off Walnut St. Shadyside. The decor and ambience is like eating in a charming french bistro. We had parmesan crusted halibut with mac and cheese and it was very good. We are both looking forward to our next visit to try the beef wellington and the meatloaf!

it's a cute little restaurant the food options are great. i had the meatloaf which was way bigger than i expected very delicious. my bf and i shared the bacon scallops and they were divine. they gave my bf a feee glass of wine because we came there for his beef wellington and it was way too raw to be eaten so they made him a new plate and it gotten a bit better definitely needed to be cooked more in the pan before going into the oven. the staff was amazing and very generous always coming to check on us.

We love this place! It has the most romantic ambiance, and the music is perfect and not loud. The food is always delicious and the wine selection is pretty extensive. The service is amazing as well. It is my favorite date night restaurant. My fiancé took me there the night he proposed. So exited we found this little gem!

We had a great time here sitting by the street. I’ve tasted lots of truffles burrata, but they made it with tomato which goes surprisingly good. Green curry mussel was good as always, and beef Wellington came with puffy pastry and just right amount of saltiness.

Had perfectly cooked eggs Benedict for a solo brunch today. Lexi was a great waitress who seemed genuinely pleased that I was enjoying my meal. French press coffee and a couple of mimosas completed the meal. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Overall great dining experience. We made a reservation about 24 hours prior for 9pm on a Sunday evening through opentable. At 730, we get a call from the manager indicating they actually stop seating at 830 and that the reservation system was taking inappropriate scheduling. We said that we could get there by 840 or 845 the earliest, and they kept the kitchen open to accomodate this. Once arrived we had the restaurant to ourselves, essentially, and chose whatever seat we preferred.
The menu had a great broad selection of French food. Cocktail options were also numerous and were typical in terms of pricing for a high end restaurant in Pittsburgh. Appetizers and soups were excellent, and for a French restaurant the portions were impressive. The mac and cheese appetizer could easily have been shared by two or eaten as a main course. The asparagus puff pastries may have been a bit oversalted but the quality and the presentation was overall excellent. They weren't trying to rush us either despite the timing hiccup, which I appreciated.
Entrees were also, great - beef was cooked to the desired temperature (I went puff pastry again with beef wellington) and my girlfriend's mushroom polenta was excellent. Once again the portions were much larger than most French restaurants at which I've dined. We had dessert to go - baklava and German chocolate cake. Not the most typical options you'd expect at a French restaurant (they did also have creme brulee but not exactly a to-go item).
Hopefully they'll sort the issues out with the reservation system immediately to avoid other people having similar mishaps, but I won't hold it against them since they were accommodating. Will definitely return.

God, that was good. I just had dinner here, and I wish I could have 15 more before the night is out. I ordered the Beef Wellington with chef's vegs. The beef was amazingly tender and the pastry superbly flavorful. The vegs were delicious and expertly salted and seasoned. Though they happened to be out of icing for the German chocolate cake, it was absolutely delicious. First visit and instantly among my top 3 restaurants in Pittsburgh.

We had a great night at the restaurant. They were super accommodating to my food allergies. The balsamic vinegar on the peach salad was delicious. The only imperfection was the beef Wellington was undercooked. The puff pastry was doughy, which just needed a few more min in the oven.

Went here for our anniversary and it was amazing. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, highly recommend the rags and beef. We're already talking about going back to try their brunch menu.

We happened upon this place by accident and I am so grateful we did. To start please know that this is a true “your mom is cooking an amazing dinner” kind of place, and amazing food takes time. So grab a drink or two from the great bartender, sit back, relax, and if you are outside people watch. I highly recommend the crab cakes because they were delightful and mainly lump crab with little filler. A must try next time you are in Shadyside.
