So good! I’m honestly impressed, which is why I’m leaving a review. This place claims to have ‘healthy’ food, which is basically a meaningless marketing term these days, but it’s true. Good ingredients, lots of vegetables, something for everyone, and plenty of vegan options!
Good environment, clean, and nice employees too

I must admit, I’m a bit biased. I’ve been going to Core(Life Eatery) since it opened its first location in Syracuse. I was surprised yet elated to see them start expanding a few years ago. The owners had previously operated a lunch eatery in downtown Syracuse that failed, despite serving excellent food. That’s downtown Syr for you. However, when Core opened in what most would consider an odd location in the burbs, many of us weren’t expecting it to last very long. New concept (to us central nNew Yorkers at least), odd location, and seemingly a little pricey (especially for us central New Yorkers). Everyone was pleasantly surprised when this restaurant exploded in popularity. Anyone who’s ever been here can see why. The food is amazing. The menu has expanded and evolved over time. Yes, service can be slow at the usual times. For what they’re serving and how they’re serving it, there’s no way around it, short of having two entirely separate service lines which I’m sure is financially impractical. So many aspects of this restaurant are extremely well designed and thought out. The environment ties together well with the cuisine. One important suggestion: the ability to sit down and order from the app and have it brought to your table a la Panera. There were a number of times over the years when I arrived to see the line backed out the front door and I turned around and went somewhere else to eat. Still, in spite of a few hiccups in service here and there, I happily give Core a five star rating.

Blew me away. I'm from NYC with a client near by on McKnight Rd, and he suggested it.
It was a little bewildering at first. Very many choices. But counter person asked straight-away if I had questions or wanted suggestions. Nice touch. They have enough suggested plates and bowls, it's pretty easy to find something to suit. I had a warm rice chicken bbq bowl. It was absolutely superb!
The options are many. The ingredients are fresh and healthy. Yes, it could be considered a little pricey. But if you don't mind a fair price for quality, you'll be pleased.
Beverage options are many, as well. With unique and healthy choices.
The dining room is very large. No problem with seating - booths, tables, and outdoor patio. I loved the place and will be back next time I'm in Pittsburgh

I took my mother to the McKnight Rd location in Pittsburgh. The restaurant was so clean. The food was delicious. The employees were pleasant and helpful. Thanks to Ashley specifically. She did an awesome job at guiding us through the menu to find our own individual perfect lunch.

Very good bowls, I got the cold tuna bowl with avocado and purple rice. Next time I ate there and got the beef bowl with arugula, pickled onions, and purple rice, very good!

Great healthy choices and somewhat reasonable prices. Disappointed they are discontinuing the coconut curry dish.

I ordered a Cobb Salad and a fountain drink, and the total was $12.
For the amount of food, it's decently priced. The food tastes fresh, and is very healthy. There are about 15 different things on the menu, and you can also customize either a salad, grain bowl, noodle bowls, and a couple other options.
I really enjoyed the food and drink options they had. They had this beet lemonade that was amazing, I'd go back just for that, but the food is also great too.

Very satisfying ...so many options to build your own bowl or choose one from the endless menu of mixes

This place was seriously amazing, and especially is a great vegan option during Lent. I was only visiting the area, but I wish that we had more of these around the country so I could go all the time. You can customize the meals, but if it's your first time just go for one of the premade options on the menu, and you won't be disappointed.
Your drink is also refillable, so try a few of the great ones they offer! I particularly liked the iced coffee.
