District Lounge

We've been ordering from District for 2 years and previously loved the food. The last two times that I've ordered the same dishes we always have, they've been made different and honestly taste so bad. I followed up and the waitress called the owner who said to ask for a refund through Uber. Obviously Uber Eats said they won't give the refund because it's not their fault it was made poorly. After that I tried calling the restaurant for 2 days and they didn't answer. The waitress initially told me that the cooks are different and they've had complaints. We ordered again today and spoke to them directly about our previous experience but we were told they can't communicate with the cooks because of a language barrier. Needless to say we realized that the cooks have changed and the food is not the same quality as before. An added bonus is the shrimp buried on my pepper tofu. As a vegetarian, this is another meal wasted. Denied a refund because the Manager wasn't available. So that's that. Unfortunately we lost our Pickering hot spot to poorly made food and bad customer service.

Decided to head here for a Saturday night of dj jams and dancing; however, there was a special event with a very pricey cover change! Vodka / soda tasted like water , served by an unfriendly bartender! To top it off , my friend wanted to go to her car to drop off an item and apparently was told she couldn’t exit at that time 😡 Clearly customer services means nothing! I thought about this review for two days and decided I’d do it with the hope that management will see fit to make some changes so that it can be a place that provide a overall great experience. Worst club ever, They don’t even take credit or debit card. They force u to pay atm with cash . I would highly avoid this establishment they are really not professional, at all now where is posted cash only?Where on the promotion for event says cash only? Ya would avoid this place, go spend your money with island mix. They respect the customer not district, they only want cash. The owner bald guy is very rude. I would check out island mix or tropical nights way before this place. This place only want cash must be front for drugs or something.
