This is one of the last old-school OG PHX Japanese food spots. California rolls are fair to partly cloudy but most everything else is damn good. The bowls should all be given a chance to slide across your hungry mouths at one point. Every one of them.....

I have been coming to this particular Tokyo Express for 20 years and the food is ALWAYS fresh and amazing. The staff and friendly and patient as well. This restaurant is far more superior than the other Tokyo Express On Camelback and 7th st. Only choose this location!

Have always preferred TE to any other Japanese fast food! The most pathetic website I've come across in a while - DANG! Wish they would get on board with the food delivery too - Door Dash, Postmates, etc.

Great food & never changing the menu keeping it the way they have done it for years. It's a staple in maryvale great alternative to fast food although it is. Tokyo Express keep doing what guy our doing love it and will keep coming as long as you stay open. Patron for life...

Waited not too long. Paid about $15 for 2 chicken teriyaki bowls, ordered one bowl with steamed veggies, a side salad and a drink. Was enough to feed my daughter, significant other and myself. Overall tasted pretty good similar to flame broiler. Service was pleasant. I would definitely come back and recommend tokyo express to a friend.

The Bento box is great, has a good variety. Come here every week for lunch, the old lady is really nice. Good price for good food.
