Uncle Sam's

Uncle Sam's is a great local place to get a beer and some great food. Go often with a friend tonhang out for a while. Had the hot wings today with a side of suicide sauce and enjoyed the sensation! The only downside side was a little warm as the A/C did not keep up the 125-degree temperature outside. Warm, but not bad.

This place is the "Cheers" of pizzaria--great, authentic service and food. Great place to pop in for a reminder of prepandemic times. Employees are fantastic--they deserve free 🥓 😀. Not having more free plays on the jukebox does not make you want to stay long. $1.75 a 3 min song is $50 an hour for your customers and employees to be entertained....but I know music licensing is expensive. Fantastic sandwich, employees were happy to help find the best way to deliver exactly what I wanted.

First off, I love the huge menu. I got a white pizza with ricotta and sausage added, they have a whole section just for white pizzas which are my favorite, plus some fried mushrooms and zucchini, all delicious. My date had a meatball sandwich and a couple glasses of Blue Moon, which they have on draft, which she enjoyed too. Very chill atmosphere, five minute walk from my place, will definitely be back.

I saw this place listed as a candidate for the New Times "Best of" in the pizza category. So, I had to give it a try. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. A casual family friendly place with a small bar and several TV's, all playing a sporting event. The menu is good Ol' American fare, mostly East coast influenced. We tried the staples of East coast favorites: pizza, wings, and an Italian Hoagie. The wings were perfectly crispy with a perfect amount of sauce. Their "Suicide" sauce was a great blend of crushed red pepper flakes and black peppercorns. The pizza was pretty damn good. A very dense pizza with lots, and lots, of cheese. We would have preferred a bit less cheese. But it was good. The Hoagie, the Italian Special, was impressive and exactly what I would get from an East coast sub. This place is really great. Affordable menu with great service. We'll be heading back to try more from their menu.

Today was the first time my wife and I had ever been to an Uncle Sam’s. We saw the ad in a “Best Philly’s in Phoenix” article and decided to try it out. Everything was really good, but especially our server Ayla, she warmed the entire experience and had no problem going through the menu and answering our questions before we ordered. She was so sweet and thorough with everything she did, so I wanted to take the time to review and say thank you again!! We ordered the mozzarella sticks, the firecracker tots, and the fried zucchini. (All delicious!!) And for our meals we ordered a quarter of a Pepper Cheese Philly with fries each. Ayla recommended extra cheese and to try the homemade ranch. Everything was super delicious!!
