Hillstone

I had a perfectly wonderful evening here, a friend who lives in Phoenix recommended. I found the staff absolutely delightful and kind, though the clientele and design was a bit stuffy for what I can only describe as somewhat blasé cuisine. We had the artichoke dip (standard - nothing unique) and some sushi (delightful but the rice was oddly crispy and much too large for one bite) and for my main dish I had a Thai salad which was just lumped as one big plate, lacking any presentation. If you want GREAT food - you should go elsewhere. If you want a nice evening and are fine with a standard, upscale environment, Hillstone will pass the test.

Love this place! We stopped in without a reservation so there was an hour wait for the dining area but thankfully they offer a smaller menu on the patio if you chose to wait or the full menu at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and provided great suggestions on the menu. The sushi was super fresh and the wood fired chicken was super juicy and flavorful!

We really enjoyed Hillstone, we dined with @dukegolfrealty. Thank you so much Duke for having dinner with us. The ambiance was very chill/relaxing. The food was good, E had a taste for seafood so she got the Salmon Salad and really enjoyed the salmon which was really delicious. J ordered the Southern Style Brussel Sprouts and loved the lemon aioli. She also had the Cucumber and Avocado Roll which was a different type of sushi and very good. The service was good as well. The smell, OMG! The smell of the baby back ribs is what we a looking forward to going back to Hillstone. We really hope that they are as good as they smell.

The atmosphere and service was amazing and the best service I have ever received! New favorite resturant and can't wait to try more of the dishes that they offer. I was excited to try the grilled artichoke appetizer but it was out of stock on this visit. We got the brussles instead and they were delicious. Different from other resturants as they boiled the sprouts but they were seasoned well. The cocktails were very good, the margarita was a little bitter but good overall. The dirty Martini was one of the better ones I have had at a resturant/bar. The server noticed my glass got warm before I finished my drink and she brought me a cold glass to freshen my drink, it was fantastic service! The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The side of broccoli wasn't great, very over cooked. My husband really enjoyed the French dip it was seasoned well, very tender meat and yummy fries. The sushi was good, very fresh.
