If i could rate negative i would. Celebrated new years eve there last night. Ordered 5 rounds of drinks $14 each round went to close our tab it was a $121. First she charged our card before giving us our check and then when we asked for the check she refused kept walking around us like she was confused kept saying that was the tab when clearly it was the cc receipt. then the other female bartender (the man) began to get rude and belligerent cursing us out for asking for our bill repeatedly said "your gonna pay the bill tonight" which We had already done since she charged the card before seeing our bill. So he (she) was already in a bad mood from the beginning. Not professional. I work in the service Industry and I wouldn't think to speak to my customers in that way. We come from maryland and we always have come here to hang out when we come to the city. We will never be returning and I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Would never return again.

Being the only place without a cover charge on New Years eve, me and the wife stopped in to get out of the cold about 2 hours before the ball was to drop. The vibe at first was unwelcoming and the bartender was evasive and miserable. Other patrons starting to arrive gave it more of a local fishtank kind of feel. Both bathrooms were ridiculously filthy with urine and vomit covering the floor and most of the walls. The closer to midnight it got the better the experience, a new bartender was attentive, respectful, social and lightened the moral so everyone sitting at the bar eventually began acting like real life humans. Free champagne was handed out along with hats, glasses and noise makers for the 12 oclock celebration. After my last beer i left with a sense of closure, like i didnt waste away my new year and thats all that was to be expected. So ill give a 3 star rating because it didnt end as bad as it started.
