Silver Bean Cafe

One of the very best coffee spots in the city. Coffee is excellent, but their breakfast and lunch menus are exemplary. I had a bagel with cream cheese on my last visit, and I kid you not, the cream cheese was piled half an inch thick in places! Unreal. ^_^ Their salads and sandwiches are also delicious, and they have a wide range of baked goods and Kawartha Dairy ice cream. And nothing beats sitting by the river!

Beautiful location, but overpriced for lack luster food and very overpriced for coffee. What i ordered: 2 sweet potato burritos & 2 coffees Price: It came to $45 before tip. Burritos: The "burritos" were severely under-seasoned and were also served cold. They should be classified as a wrap as with it saying burrito would imply it would be warm. I found the item description to be misleading to the final product that was served. Coffee: Was quite good but paying $8 for each was not worth it. They have a ton of seating where they bring your food to you but because no one checks on you after you receive your food there is no opportunity to talk to anyone regarding any mistakes or issues that arise. If there are people in the order line it makes in next to impossible to go inside to chat with anyone about it either. Due to the error in the order of one of the burritos and the complete tastelessness in both, neither were consumed past 1-2 bites. Underwhemled to say the least.
