I'm a very strong dance advocate - its great for your health and excellent for your brain and reflexes. Lets face it, if your up and about - you're LAPPING those sitting round on the couch...(but it's always nice to balance life a bit.) I do dancing to keep cardio fit as well as strengthen my body and to socialise. No matter where you are at, this is your opportunity to be acknowledged and included and have an opportunity to come along and enjoy challenging yourself while having fun at the same time. Salsa is a fun, easy to learn partner dance style. To come along, you don't need to bring a partner or even have any experience to join in! Rapture dance academy has beginner, intermediate and advanced classes filled with music and energy. Chris, the principal dance teacher has years of experience, here in the Perth dance scene and teaches LA style as well as other different dance styles. If you've never danced before I highly recommend Chris's classes, not just because they are the best value in Perth but because the culture of Chris's academy is built on proffessionalism, respect and equality amongst other excellent core values. Classes are 6 week blocks which make it easer to learn because you repeat the steps and go over them and at the end you've got a routine you can do on the dance floor in social dancing! "Yay!" Rapture also runs social dancing first saturdays of the month as well as small group sessions at his private studio. Well.... I've always said, "If you're out dancing your already lapping all the people sitting on the couch at home" The reason WHY I CHOOSE to dance with Rapture is 100% most importantly because of the culture that Chris has inspired in his style of teaching with a bunch of friendly people, who are out and about, to have a great time! So, I hope I've convinced you..at least of my personal point of view. I'm not a teacher or anything, just a student like you. I've always said though.. if you can talk you can sing... And if you can walk? You certainly CAN DANCE!!! If this is true for me, then I look forward to being with you as you realise your own abilities on the dance floor. Prehaps... keep the singing for the shower... don't worry - you dont have to be a great singer - to come along - just keep your chin up and be positive, you'll get there... I'm sure of it.
