Contacted the restaurant whilst walking around Penzance looking for somewhere to eat. Although it was 8.15pm and the kitchen closes at 8.45pm, they told us they would happily serve us. We got there and were greeted by 2 lovely members of staff who were so helpful and friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help us. The food was divine and if you get the opportunity to have the crab cake, do!
I would highly recommend Blacks of Chapel Street and will definitely visit next time I’m in Penzance

Very nice and chic atmosphere with welcoming staff. The food was good but tasted a bit vinegary all around. Would recommend to book in advance.

Brilliant food and lovely customer service. We had the seafood platter and everything was delicious - good sized portions too!

Amazing restaurant find in Penzance. We got the seafood platter for 2 from the specials that night. They were actually all sold out by the time of our reservation but one of the managers was super nice and tailor made one from what they had left in the kitchen. The fish and prawns tasted very nice and the scallops in particular were great and perfectly cooked. The food was all fresh. 4/5 stars

Food was brilliant, customer service not so good more attension needed from staff to make customers feel wanted and serve their needs rather than ignored.
Make sure you book a table we had to wait for an hour after the restaurant stopped serving food (say night) to be allowed to order but it was worth the wait.
Will definitely come again but I hope the service will be better next time.

A great place for lunch, fantastic food and friendly staff. The only complaint is was the long wait for our cheese board but we were looked after in the mean time.

Had a really good experience here, professional staff service with a smile even though it's bank holiday busy. I spoke with the owner after having a small issue with a part of the seafood platter, which was wonderful by the way, it was corrected without fuss. It's really worth booking prior, as when we were sat enjoying our food the amount of people that came in and were unable to be given must have been whole restaurant over again... can't wait to go again

Wonderful seafood restaurant. Booking advised. Best seafood platter that my husband (former 5*chef) and I have had. Gorgeous langoustines, crab, mussels and more. Welcomed our three girls and service was excellent. Children can have smaller platters of adult menu, mine opted for fish & chips & mussels. A very busy bank holiday Monday but handled with professionalism and ease. Highly recommended.

The food was wonderful and the decor was laid back funky chic. The service was great and the location was right in the middle of everything. Overall we had a fantastic dinner.
