Sonic Drive-in

My burger was good. The onion rings were fresh and good. My fries, however were room temperature cold and slightly soggy. This makes me feel like they were sitting out or cooked way before my order was placed. This tells me there is lack of management or consistency when it comes to providing fresh cooked food.

Overall poor establishment!! Stalls are closed so was made to go inside. So I go inside. They took forever to answer inside speaker. Then some how I paid for the wrong order so when the food was brought I was told I didn’t pay. And she tried double charging me after I showed her my bank processed it. Then oh out the blue she figured it out and I got charged more and refunded less. Then after forever my food came out. At warm temperature. And I ordered a big chicken sandwich and got a small one and then my burger was made wrong, continued to get a attitude from the manager about the sandwiches. And then the burger came out wrong again.

We arrived 15 minutes before closing and initially tried going through the drive thru. Once we got to the speaker, there was no employee. We tried to grab their attention but no one took our order. We then went to the Drive In stations and pressed the button. We waited 5 minutes to no response.At that point, we just left to go somewhere else.

Sonic’s entire gimmick is being a drive in restaurant. Yet this location does not offer drive in service. If there were a sign, fair enough. But there’s no indication that you can’t use Drive In until you hit the button. I don’t know how long it’s been this way, at least 3 weeks, and they haven’t had the time to put up a sign? That’s ridiculous. And you can’t use “we’re short staffed” or “ due to covid restrictions” because they do in fact bring food to cars- I’m guessing mobile ordering. But still, that means they do in fact have the staff to run orders to cars.

I wish I could give negative stars. Ordered food in the stall, waited 20 mins with no update, then pressed the red button again to check on it and get an eta. We had three tired kids in the car and at this point everyone was hangry. The workers ignored us. We walked into the place where our food had apparently been sitting. Fries and tots were cold. Hot dog not even cooked. This was the worst experience ive ever had at a sonic and the worst $30 ive ever spent. Save your time your money and your sanity and never visit this sonic unless youre a lover of long wait times cold food and terrible customer service.
