Mike’s Fish And Chips

This restaurant exceeded my expectations in terms of food and service. If you're looking for a casual seafood joint while you're in Payson, this place will hit the spot. I got the oysters & chips and my husband got the fish & chips, and we both enjoyed the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. The oysters were bigger than I expected, and the batter was crunchy and wasn't too heavy or thick. We'll definitely be back whenever we're in town. Great little spot. Looks like they're pretty busy for weekend lunches, so keep that in mind!

Oh Wow!! All of a sudden, we have been running across awesome Fish and Chips. This super friendly business welcomes new customers and also kindly steers them to the best serving for the price. (Note: free refills on even regular sized drinks.) Did I mention the fried fish was amazing and light? French fries and Cole slaw are also very good! Bring cash as there is a service fee for cards, unfortunately. However prices are reasonable and servings substantial. Borrow $10 from your kid brother and you will enjoy a filling lunch at Mike’s. (To really make your day, walk north for a shake from the creamery.) Aside from the cooler temps, Payson folks are lucky!

Thought it would be good but was unexpectedly fabulous and cheap!!!! Great people, amazing food!! Will stop every time I am in Payson. Got a little but Of everything, but fried shrimp and chips was my favorite. Was sooo good!!! Fried fish was good too and sauces were were top notch! My husband enjoyed his fish sandwich as well.

Lady working today was extremely rude and disrespectful - just see their response below. First off, the lady (I'm assuming is the owner) is absolutely disgusting - upon entering, she was literally RIGHT outside the business doors smoking a cigarette and didn't greet us or mention she worked there - but, apparently she was livid that my 4 year old had to use their restroom - No one was at the front counter, so there was no one to "ask". Then, upon leaving, she continues to smoke her cigarette and heckles us, calling us RUDE and how dare we use their restroom. We walk off, as I'm not trying to start a confrontation in front of my daughter, and she CONTINUES to heckle at us from a distance, calling us names. It was honestly laughable how mad she was. HOW are you even in business?! If you get this mad at a 4 year old using the restroom, I can not imagine the response you would receive if you don't like her fried fish sticks. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. Infact, I will make it known to the world that they should never support a business owner with this attitude. I'm so glad they had the response they did, it just proves how awful and disrespectful the owner is. Absolutely absurd and so childish.

We were very impressed with the food quality from this amazing establishment. The fish and shrimp were delicious, with great portion size, and the chips were perfectly crisp. The staff was very polite even as they were super busy. We will definitely have to go back as we pass through Payson on our camping trips up north.
