Absolutely love dining here when I’m in Pasadena. Lunch specials are always a great value and a la cart portions are generous. It’s not just your average run of the mill Chinese restaurant. The outside might look old but it’s very clean and pleasant inside, with plentiful parking in the back. They have a few dishes I don’t even find in other neighborhood Chinese restaurants, like salted fish or crab (real crab) fried rice. My favorite dish here has to be the aromatic fish.

Their prices have increased substantially as they have in so many other businesses but today I had their shrimp in garlic sauce and was surprised by how delicious the dish was. The sauce was spicy but not excessively so. The shrimp were fresh and well prepared. The green beans were crispy but not raw nor overcooked. The egg flower soup was also delicious as was the vegetable egg roll.

Wow! My wife and I love this place. Great atmosphere and service. Food is always prepared well and it’s hot, which is great.
Very accommodating to food restrictions and sensitivities. Nice lunch specials. I could write more but you just have to try for yourself.

All I have to say about Go China Restaurant is that it was amazing. The food was great, the price was right and the staff was ever so pleasant and attentive. Definitely one of my favorite new place to visit.

We ordered a the filet mignon dish for $23 dollars.
It tasted like cat meat. Like chewing rubber. When we called to explain, they said that there was nothing that they could do about it… No way to run a business…

I've had a variety of Chinese food on a national level, the flavors were good, the meat in the rice was over portioned, like if it was lazy cut.. Too big for your mouth.
The shrimp was a bit over cooked and was a dark brown verses golden..
Not a bad spot by any means, I asked for chili sauce and was not given enough..

The service was great, the lunch portion is great. I had orange chicken but the texture of the chicken seemed a little off personally to me. I'd come back to give it one more try.

Very good option for Chinese food in Pasadena. The staff is always friendly and the food is good quality. We've eaten there many times over the last several months and tried quite a variety from there menu.
