Backwoods Bbq

Wow, the best bbq chicken I've ever had. The pulled pork was also moist and delicious. The potato salad was a bit spicy and I wish they had more sides to choose from. The decor was great, a real entertaining theme. The ladies room was clean and modern. Unfortunately, the construction made it very difficult to get to.

This was my first experience at this establishment, and I'm sad to say it will likely be my last. The food was terrible. I ordered a season dish (Brisket Mac and Cheese) and she ordered Meatloaf. The mac and cheese would have been much better if they had cooked the onions that they threw into it. They were raw. And her mashed potatoes she got with her meatloaf were most definitely instant. The service was also very slow. Our waitress didn't check on us one single time between getting us our drinks and serving our food (we waited about 20 minutes for our food). I was not impressed with the food nor the service. I would gladly go to Maxwells down the street for much better food and service.

Excellent BBQ Ribs & Chicken Too! Backwoods BBQ was recommended to us by locals as the best ribs in the area. We certainly agree 100%! Both their ribs and chicken are excellent: smoked to perfection, moist, tender, and amazing flavor. Their prices are reasonable with portions that will make it hard to save room for pecan pie. Though not fancy, they more than make up for that with good service and a friendly atmosphere.
