Ventura Bbq

Nice friendly staff, portions are decent sized, pulled pork sandwich wasn’t very good, Mac and cheese wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it Mac and cheese it was more like butter noodles with whatever seasoning they put on the top, fries were nothing special, “spicy” bbq sauce was more sweet than spice. Overall I would not return again.

I am blown away at how excellent the food is, I had a half rack of ribs that just fell off the bone perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will be back to try everything on the menu! It’s so awesome to have another epic eatery on the beach! Do NOT overlook this place when you are looking for somewhere to fill you up. Quick and stellar service and killer prices! Thank you!

I'm not happy with the flavor of the meat but this is coming from someone that loved eating at Just BBQ in Ventura. That use to be our to go place for BBQ until it got sold and now its permanently closed. If you were familiar with that restaurant then you'll think the same. The meat needs more flavor and sauce definitely needs improvement 😒. I would not go back a second time.....( We ordered the tri tip sandwiches and ribs )😪😔🙄

My husband and I tried Ventura BBQ Co for the first time at Poseidon Brewing this past weekend. There was 1 lady working, she was up front about being patient as she was the only one there. To be honest, we did not expect much. I usually am not a bbq person at all, but this was the most delicious bbq I have had in a while! The food was fresh and the lady was courteous. The bbq sauce was to die for! We will definitely return to get their food again!

This place needs to be rescued. Ashton, the cashier needs to step up his friendliness. Being rude behind the register is terrible customer service. I noticed a very young child working in the kitchen, I doubt that that kid has food handlers certificate which is law. Let me tell you about the grease. So much grease that the mac n cheese is deadly to eat its a heart bomb. Every meat is served completely covered in bbq sauce in a bad way, you can't actually taste anything else so it doesn't matter what you order. I regret going here. This place deserves 0 stars. Id love for chef Ramsey to tear it apart.

After having a meal there my wife and I were so impressed .we asked for catering a party of 20, Victoria was so friendly and clear on pricing and what's offered .I felt comfortable right away. Perfect timing delivered,and set up as well, everyone raved, many asked where and stated it's the best BBQ they ever had!! OMG be sure to try the Smoked Brisket ,melts in your mouth, as well as chicken that's tender,smoked pork and sides that all enjoyed , I agree,Best I ever had!
