Granary

The food is decent but the service was incredibly slow. They were severely understaffed. We were there at lunch hour and they only seemed to have two people working the front of the house. My photos make the food look better than it actually was. The food was adequate but nothing special. The cheese curds were just a glob of commingled curds. The tots were cooked properly but the rye bread on the Ruben must not have been very fresh because it was falling apart at the seams of the marble rye after a few bites it was falling apart so badly I could no longer hold the sandwich and had to resort to using a knife and fork. The solution to everything might be to properly train staff and have enough of them on duty at lunch hour.

We have been trying to get here on our way up north and back to New Berlin for quite some time now. Today was the day, and I'm so sad that we didn't get a chance to stop sooner. The atmosphere is awesome, the food was great, the beer selection rocks, and the staff was SO friendly. We will be going out of our way to stop back here as much as possible on our road trips in the future. I cannot say enough about how great this place is...wish it was closer!

I really like this place and the owners. A certain situation tonight disappointed me. Two people in the party ordered a drink... butterscotch schnapps (no label requested...house) and baileys. $11.50 each. Wow! That price in Oshkosh for what they received. The server and then management on staff said every drink ordered there is a double and priced accordingly, then the extra cost for the Bailey's. There was absolutely no way there were 3 shots in that glass. We all assumed it was a mistake on how the drinks were rang up, but we got nothing but insulated when questioning the charge. We were told to go elsewhere if we didn't like the prices. It wasn't the matter of a few bucks on a drink. We paid our bill and tipped nicely, this was an exercise on customer service, hoping to help this business thrive in Oshkosh. Tonight I feel they took a step back.

Good food and portions but most of the fried food especially the cheese curds were overdone and hard and chewy. The macaroni was delicious though. I wish there were more low seating indoors because I'm short and too clumsy to try and climb one of those stools without injury. We also had my niece in a wheelchair and my sister would have had to bend double or stand to feed her. We ended up sitting outside at the picnic table with the bugs.

Went there for my Birthday. Fun atmosphere didn't know it was Bingo night. Went ahead a played and won the final round so it ended up exactly a wash so completely free for three of us. Good assortment of local beers. Didn't seem short staffed waitress was always checking on us and food was out pretty quick. Fried pickles were wedges odd choice and bread on sandwich wasn't toasted enough so kinda soggy burger. Mostly good experience overall and prices didn't seem too bad. Tuesday is apparently trivia night so we will be back. ;)

I was rather disappointed with my first visit. I ordered Haddock, baked which was good, but kind of thin and rather small. I’ve never had it so thin, it’s always a thick filet. The potato was cold and hard, little piece of rye was evidently sitting out and was hard. The little portion cup of coke slaw was a creamy, tasty blend which I felt was pretty good. Service was ok, kind of slow, but that’s everyone, they did the best they could. Atmosphere was very nice, it brought back memories of when the Granary was first opened many years ago. I’d give it another try.
