My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch after taking the ferry over from Amacortes, and after eating there I'm surprised to read some of the negative reviews. The service was great, food came out hot. I had the breakfast burrito and she had the avocado toast. We thought the food was really really good, and the views out onto the sound are a nice addition. Yes, there is no restroom in the restaurant, but it's clearly posted on the entryway. Furthermore, the public restrooms at the ferry terminal are maybe a 60 second walk. 5/5 would eat there again.

We decided to do Thanksgiving a little differently this year by eating out. The food at Orcas Hotel Cafe was delicious! Hands down one of the best Thanksgiving feasts of my life.

What a great place to wait for the ferry! The food was wonderful, the service very personable, and the view was fantastic. Now if I can get their playlist, I'll be in heaven. :)

Surprisingly tasty food! The service was fast and efficient. We had the chicken quesadilla, clam chowder, grilled cheese and fish and chips.
Everything tasted good! The tomato soup with the grilled cheese was slightly undercooked and garlicky. But other than that, everything was good.

I was fully prepared to hate the coffee- glad I tried it again. New owners = new coffee. The beignets were hot and tasty. We love sitting on the rocking chairs watching the boats come it and out.

First visit to the rock. My family stopped in here before our departure ferry. We had a complex group of elderly with canes and a toddler. I didn't know if we would be a burden eating here, but the staff was welcoming and put me at ease. The breakfast burritos with avocado were BY FAR the best breakfast burritos ever eaten. Many kudos to the chef! Additionally, I ordered fish (cod) and chips to go... to eat back at home (inland WA... hours from the coast)... and later was so pleased as they really hit the fish and chips spot I was craving, but didn't quite get, earlier on the trip at another eatery. The Orcas Hotel Cafe rounded out our pleasant family visit to the island and would recommend you eat here on your next visit, too!

Greath location for when you have a ferry to catch. The view is also very stunning. The food was aslos good and the avocado toast looked delicious. I would like to come back and actually stay at the historic hotel for a weekend or longer. For me as a Canadian I was surprised when they said they had a bathroom. The coffee I had was ok not the best but it did the trick.

Just Exceptional! Truly a fantastic experience - beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and amazing food. We did the set menu and every course was unique and outstanding. I also understand the Sushi night is not to be missed. The location overlooks the water just off the Ferry Landing - offering changing views throughout your meal. Highly recommended.

Great Cafe food with quality ingredients, serve at the right temperature and cooked exactly as you requested. Chef John has a changing menu that can be ordered online for pickup each day, every day. The food is fresh, it comes super well packed and if you have any specific requirements, they are very careful to make it happen. Eating is a pleasant experience with great views over the ferry landing and the views of the channel and Shaw Island.
