Half Shell Grill

We decided on Cobalt, thanks to the reviews here, and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend reservations as our wait was an hour (our fault, as we walked in). However, their bartenders have skills and make an excellent old fashioned and margarita. Our time was well-spent waiting. The raw oysters were the best I've ever experienced. While waiting, a lady stated another place in the area is #1, while this is #2 for oysters. We tried the other place the next day and they couldn't touch the oysters here at Cobalt. These were the best. Their swordfish was great (a bit overcooked, but still great). I even added the combination oysters, which consisted of Garlic Parmesan, Creole Casino, and Rockefeller. Though not as wonderful as their fresh oysters, they were excellent and worth having again. We will definitely return.

This is definitely the best place we've eaten while in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach! The wedge salad my husband had was the best wedge salad either of us has ever eaten! The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was delicious as well. My husband had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo for his meal. I had the Shrimp and Grits with a side of Parmesan Risotto. Both meals were wonderful. My risotto was amazing!!! Despite my objection, my husband chose for us to sit inside because of the heat. The outside patio is amazing though!! We were there around midday so it wasn't busy out there yet. I loved how you could watch the boats and the pelicans. It's just an atmosphere that makes you feel good! I would definitely recommend!!!

Please make a reservation. We were able to slide in , in less than an hour due to a cancelation. Superb customer service from every person we met. Our waiters went above and beyond. They were pleasant and resourceful. The food deserves 10 stars. It was prepared with perfection. Every morsel, every bite.

Celebrated my Sister's Birthday w/Family @ Cobalt while visiting Gulf Shores. Unfortunately they didn't take reservations for large parties when we visited so we ended up waiting more than 1 1/2 hours for a table. 😔 Just as we were about to leave they were finally able to get us seated. There were 20 people in our party & we all ordered a variety of menu items. Chaiden our Server was Amazing & saved the night! He was very attentive, got our food out in less than 30 mins. & made the Experience better than when it began.
