What a great place! Been coming for years and the newest owners are great! You are warmly welcomed when you come in. The place is spotless! The server was phenomenal and didn't write a thing down and it all came correct. The food was top notch and the dessert selections are endless. Don't forget to hit the bakery counter on the way out for later! Best experience ever!

This place is AWESOME!! My wife and I recently moved into the surrounding area and found this great diner one day on our way back from our newborn son's doctor appointment. We have been here about 3 times and really enjoyed the food each time. Food really is top notch. Additionally, they have a large dessert selection and we never got a chance to get any...well today I decided on my way home I would stop and get dessert so we could give it a shot. I am in the military and stopped in to get my dessert while still dressed in my uniform. As always great service and very cordial people. My dessert was on the house. The owner of River Edge diner has a loyal patronage for lifetime. Thank you for the support!!!!! I haven't tried the dessert yet, I'm sure it is amazing but regardless I am a loyal customer. Remodeled in 2018 the whole restaurant is new and bright. I had their Thursday lunch special of a cup of Minestrone soup and Hungarian goulash. The soup was piping hot and flavorful. The goulash was served over perfectly done egg noodles and the stew meat was fork tender in the tasty gravy. Just what I had envisioned when I made the selection. They have an extensive, and to die for, desert selection. I resisted. The service, by Evelyn, was quick and efficient. The manager was very amicable. Prices struck me as very reasonable and the menu is interesting and extensive. Loads of parking.

Giving this 5 stars solely because of my server. The food was good (not 5 stars good) but unmemorable, however, I would 1000% come back just to have Chris as a server again! He went above and beyond, was always attentive, checked on us a lot, and was incredibly patient. I’ve never had service this good before! It’s rare you will meet someone that friendly and kind in general, let alone as a server. River Edge Diner’s management, if you’re reading this, give Chris a raise!
