Excellent service from the bar man and as well assume manager who helped my wife choose the right thing on the menu given her gluten allergies. Pub surrounding perfect cozy, clean and lovely ambiance. All very slick from first serve to the bill! Also very accommodating of out two dogs

Great place, great atmosphere. We stayed for one night to break a journey. The room was comfortable, spacious and well maintained. We ate in the bar. We received a warm welcome and had a really relaxed evening with excellent food - and beer - at a good price. Breakfast was excellent too. Will we go back? Yes, we certainly will.

Rather gutted I've worked not far from here for a month or so back in May/June of this year and didn't find this place until this week, coming back down to finish a few loose ends. What a lovely place it is. Original menu with tasty food, helpful staff, fast service and the food is also delicious! Love the covered outside seating area where, rain or shine, I can bring my dog and sit outside eating dinner with a pint! Great way to unwind after a hard day's graft. This is now our second visit and we will no doubt be back next time we're in the area.

Really good service, food and drink was great. A number of dishes weren’t available which would be better to know when we were handed the menus. No harm done. Have visited before and will continue to visit regularly.

Lovely pub set alongside the river. Great option to either start or end a dog walk. Great selection of ales.

The food options were great and our mains were delicious.
We were served by two people throughout the evening, one of which was very friendly, and the other was less so which was a shame.
Overall a great night though and we'll be back!

Had a lovely long lunch with friends in the garden by the river. The food was really nice and reasonably priced, with a varied menu. It was great service despite being quite busy, but that gave it a nice atmosphere both inside and in the garden. There were plenty of helpful bar staff, so we had a really enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be going back!

We both ordered roast beef which was delicious - generous portions of succulent beef and tasty Yorkshire puddings. The veggies on the side were perfectly cooked too.
Why have you lost a star? We were sat right be the door and were continually bumped or had people standing over us while we ate. Also, the hot smoked salmon salad while delicious was tiny. Virtually no salmon in the portion I was served. The staff members were friendly and rushed off their feet. We cannot wait to return - thank you so much
